Really like the non edits, like showing the out-take stuff, adds so much personality to the video. Communication and Journaling very powerful tools. Life affirming, great messaging. I made some skillet grilled garlic chicken with some pasta with vegetable oil & broccoli today. Really have learned to enjoy cooking instead of just microwaving.

One of the things I struggle with is self sabotage. Or incomplete commitment to a real healthy life style. I see it.. I want it..I'm getting there.. I'm doing good.. Then I "reward" myself and restart my bad habits...etc. How do you commit I guess is the bottom line question.
@leoscorpiorising95404 жыл бұрын
Hey Kristen! I had the same situation and during these 3 months of quarantine (I’m from Italy, so yup, a looot😂) I tried working out and eating better and it’s the first time I am able to do it for more than 1 month (which has always been my maximum). What I can tell you is think of every time you failed cause you went back to your okd habits. The reason was that there was no consistency. I had night when I ate buttery brownies and I felt super guilty. But next day I didn’t focus on that I just came back to eating helthy again. That was those brownies are not going to affect your diet in anyy way. 💪🏻🔥 I know that it’s easier said than done but you got to challenge yourself. Try to stick to it for 3 months. I think it’s a good amount of time to build a habit. Whenever you binge remember to go back to eating healthy. Also food should not be a reward. If you’re seeing results just continue with your journey cause eventually you’re gonna want that “reward” because you’re going to have a moment when you really want something sweet or whatever. I wish you the best of luck cause it’s very hard to break this cicle. But I was able to do it after 10 years of trying to loose weight so I am pretty confident at saying that EVERYONE can do it. 💕💖
@bootdownthedoor4 жыл бұрын
You need to change your mindset. You see self-sabotage as a reward. How is harming yourself a reward? No matter what you've done in your life or who's hurt you... you don't deserve that! Start seeing exercise, healthy eating, and taking care of yourself as the reward. You are the reward! Have a great day. :-)

I just found her channel 3 hours ago... I cannot stop watching. This is why: The past 7 months I’ve tried to lose weight and learn more about health etc. All I’ve found was useless information and I haven’t gotten further than -20 lbs. I decided tomorrow I’m gunna go hard again and all thanks to Jillian. Her videos are so inspirational. Thank you so much, you don’t know how much it means to me to be able to be in this mindset again. I appreciate it.

I have recently found your channel as I am searching out a plan for taking back control of my health. I'm not sure if this is where I leave questions but here goes. Jillian I love your logic and sound advice. I feel really good about looking to you as a mentor for my health and I'm so grateful. Question: Are post workout smoothies a waste of calories? Are there low cal smoothies that are good for me? I usually throw in my spinach and a bunch of greens that are hard to eat in volume. Thank you!
@eugeniedelalampe4 жыл бұрын
I firmly believe that everything you eat and don't need or plan to eat is emotional eating. If it were not the case, everybody who consciously decides to lose weight would be able to do so quickly. Emotional eating is THE problem. The rest is just adjustment. The food industry is tapping on our "monkey brain," avoiding stress at any cost, to make money. This industry is trying to make us believe that eating is comfort (when we need to celebrate, when we're sad, bored, etc.), while food is just a fuel.

If you’re fixated on something , I’ve found that if the same food keeps coming up over and over, sometimes it’s better to indulge in a controlled way and get it over with. Plan it so you don’t feel guilty. Maybe go somewhere where you can order a slice or get the small or personal size. If you order a large with garlic fingers we know how that will end. Bloated and full of regret.

Some people struggle with this to a high degree and it's noticeable to those who don't have it because if you observe for a few minutes, it's noticeable in the way they speak about meals or food. Their life revolves around eating instead of it being a fuel or tool when necessary. It would be like someone owning a ton of power tools but not remodeling their home, why do you have 13 hammers?

Thank you for the disclaimer @ the beginning! Eating disorders NEED professional treatment. I appreciate & respect you for that. If you didn't say that I would've lost all respect.
