Great review William, not sure if you mentioned it, but what are your opinions on the fuel economy/range?
@WilliamInJP10 ай бұрын
Manageable, it was around 17km/L for my Hokkaido trip. Gives me roughly 240km per tank

Wow that’s pretty good for me tbh.

Hi! Great video! I live in Tokyo, happy owner of a speed twin 1200 from 2019. I have been considering a yellow RS but having a second bike sounds ludicrous since I don’t want to sell the twin. Looks like so much fun though… I haven’t been able to make up my mind for over a month now 😂

Depends on what do you want? If you really want a revy sport naked, make the switch!

I have the same as you, 7500 km ! Great review ! At 5000 km my distribution chain starts to rattle at cold start .

@@massimobroccoli9854 my bad, missed “distribution” in your last comment. Forget the clean and adjust then, frankly speaking I don’t have a clue why it will rattle at such low mileage.

Great video William, thanks! Would you be able to make a comment on the riding comfort on longer trips with the clip-ons? I'm wondering how much the difference is between the RS with the handlebars and the moto2 edtition!
@WilliamInJP7 ай бұрын
There is a Hokkaido trip series on the channel. Did over 2,000 km in a week, I think that says it all! Manageable? Definitely, but also 100% more uncomfortable than the Rs

How are the super corsa's faring? are they close to needing replaced, I've got an RS but I'm changing to Rosso 4s as they're better suited to the UK winter.
@WilliamInJP9 ай бұрын
Lots of tread left, but they are starting to feel dodgy with lower temperatures. Am considering to replace them too

How does it compare to the Honday CBR1000 Neo?
@WilliamInJP8 ай бұрын
I suspect you mean the CB1000R? Very different. Way lighter and easy to turn, frame is definitely stiffer, and in my opinion more fun to ride.

Any comparison notes on rider triangle for the Street Triple vs the 950s? Lean angle, hips, knees, wrists?
@WilliamInJP10 ай бұрын
Street Triple comes with lower clip ons, higher pegs definitely more wrist pressure, hip-wise manageable in my opinion
@graysonwolf121610 ай бұрын
Agree with your nitpicks especially the TFT dash. The one from my 2017 RS was so much better. I would add another one - the fact that the exhaust is one piece from headers to outlet so it's not possible to add a slip on without replacing the headers. Annoying. BUT, that said, it's an incredible looking bike that handles so, so well that I can forgive it almost anything.
@WilliamInJP10 ай бұрын
Agreed, great bike over all. Exhaust-wise, since swapping them in Japan just cause you more problems then benefits I am actually quite ok with it, looks nice too.
@jonobester58177 ай бұрын
Is there a positive aspect about the poor turning diameter? Better overall handling?

@@WilliamInJP Mt 09?
@WilliamInJP5 ай бұрын
Very different. One of my riding buddies is on a ‘22 MT09 and the engine has a lot more torque and has a sharper throttle. The seating position however is too relaxed in my opinion, very upright with high bars. It comes down to preference I think.
