Dave Tate is a guy who is more thankful for the opportunities that others have given him than he is proud of the opportunities he has created for others.. A true inspiration

Dave Tate is probably the best business coach out there. He applies what it takes to be a great lifter to business. Making mistakes is the key to success in either.

Honestly, this is the best episode ever. I liked the Chad Wesley Smith one, but there were some weird personalty issues happening there that held the episode back. BUT - this one is awesome!

Been doing squats bench and deadlift since I was 15.. Now 24 and just discovering various training methodologies like powerlifting, crossfit, olympic weightlifting and bodybuilding.. Hopefully have a good base with 10 years of doing core lifts and strength programming. Will try it out

06livefast what is your total? and your body weight?
@06livefast9 жыл бұрын
Beaumont Raw Training current stats: 550 deadlift 465 back squat 425 front squat 335 bench 390 over head squat 370 clean and jerk 305 snatch I obviously have quite a power bias over strength but I think it's mostly genetic though. Current stats at 190 bodyweight.

Wow only 53 comments after 9 mos... must be the Elite respect! EliteFTS.com is the TAF!! But conjugate is WAY Advanced, Right? Has anybody ever put a beginner on bands + chains? I use a reg. band but I wouldn't even think of using chains until I hit around 405 on the Bench.
@mitchellhayman3819 жыл бұрын
bands will beat you up more than chains
@kwesistone78689 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on how you use them. Personally I think DE speed bench is more likely the damaging factor because its just so different from heavy bench mechanics.
@kwesistone78689 жыл бұрын
Another way to put it is that chains belong on the upper end of dynamics training. But bands definitely take some getting used to.
@mitchellhayman3819 жыл бұрын
Kwesi Stone I disagree. Having done some engineering subjects, I don't understand what you mean by this comment. What is the difference in mechanics and how is moving a lighter weight faster more damaging?
@mitchellhayman3819 жыл бұрын
Kwesi Stone I understand that bands cause overspeed eccentrics, thereby increasing kinetic energy, this is why bands will beat you up more than chains. 3 ways to change the force/velocity curve are ; bands, chains and reverse bands. The difference between the methods is the eccentric acceleration.

Very noisy, hyperactive crossfiters. Let Dave speak more, and calm down a bit
@nonyabiz40007 жыл бұрын
Ironlifeove. Couldn't agree more. Thanks for saying it. These guys have some great guests but I can't ever get through an interview because these guys are more interested in hearing themselves talk than letting their guest speak. Lay off the coffee and STFU for half a second. I keep hoping every interview will be different but it never is.
@jameszbierski3916 жыл бұрын
A good interviewer will let the guess do 90% of the talking. Can be frustrating when you’re there to listen to someone and others keep cutting in and talking over each other
