sir is the same rule applicable on dower? if wife's property received by way of dower is sold by her husband without her consent then also is it misappropriation?

Muslim marriage is a contract and the dower is the consideration from husband to wife, i think the same rules will apply, but as there is no codification of muslim law and i couldnt find a case about it i cant say for sure.
