Thanks so much, Clare, for your thorough and concise instructions in crocheting this hat. You show all the things I look for when watching an instructional video and your camera work is great as well......I will crochet this hat and when finished, I'll post it on FB as you mentioned. Thanks again, you do fantastic crochet work!

Thank you!!! Your instructions are so clear. I made it for my 5 month old, turned out exactly the same and I also added a crochet flower on the front.

Hi again, Clare! I finished my stripey ears hat and I'd love to show you a picture of it....is there somewhere I could post it for you to see? I really love the way it turned out although I made it bigger than I thought it was going to be but found out that I measured the top circumference incorrectly. No problem though because I'm gifting it to my daughter-in-law who loves all my hand made items, the sweetheart!

Thanks very much for the video. I am watching it now and trying to make it. I have learned so much from your videos, but I have a big problem. My stitches are not the same. one is big and another is small which make final pattern not beautiful. Please advice!!!
@CrochetwithClare11 жыл бұрын
Hi, what round are you on ? If your stitches are different sizes on the same round I would say it is your tension Tension evens out with practice :)
@Alsunistin11 жыл бұрын
bobwilson123 Thanks Clare. I think it is Tension. I have found an article talks about tension and how to hold the yard. I think it is better now and they are all the same size but still have a problem that they aren't even. I don't mean the size but I mean the shape. Thanks very much for your concern.
@Alsunistin11 жыл бұрын
SpiritBear12 Thanks very much. I noticed that half double crochet is shorter than double crochet but it is as Clare said that it is my Tension.

I love this hat but I have a question------I have all these loose ends that we cut when adding the 2nd color and when doing the single crochets in the open loop. You did not show or say what we are to do with them. I ended up tying the underside ones together but not completely sure what to do with the single crochet ones. I am assuming that we use the needle and work them around? Could you please let me know.
@CrochetwithClare11 жыл бұрын
Yes you sew them into the back of the hat.
@barbarajames473711 жыл бұрын
bobwilson123 Ok while I have your attention. LOL Why does my back center line go off to the right instead of staying straight up to the center ring? I have the right number of stitches on each row, I count each row as I go before beginning the next row. I guess it is no big deal but I don't like the looks of it and probably no one else would notice. I figured if you connected at the same place each time it would be straight up and down. Maybe I am just OCD LOL

Barbara James Hi, the seam will wander because we are joining and each time it moves slightly because we are working in a round

Can I make this for my 10 month old son. He turns 10 months on the 18th, and I want to make a hat like this to add on ears and a lion mane. What type of hook should I use when making hats for a 10 month old baby?

u should put must know math and measurements well on ur project descriptions. you're very comfortable w/it i see.....I'm not....I could catch on if you weren't so quickly n speedily breezing thru it.....but then again I could also move to another project like I usually do when u start "Math Class"

thank you for your input. you are able to slow the video down in the playback settings. click on the little cog wheel and choose the playback speed you want. almost all of my patterns come with general sizing or how to size for hats. this is an old video and was also a pattern by someone else that i did the video on
