Hi! Just wanted to say that you are one of my favorite crochet instructors, I find that most tutorials I follow end up being yours. You give great and easy to follow instructions, I never have any problems making anything of yours. I also, wanted to share with you my odd yet amusing experience while watching this video. I was following along with my ear phones in when I heard the microwave go off(my fiance was reheating his coffee), not a second after it stopped beeping I heard the same noise once again only this time through my ear buds, I got very confused for a second there lol. The timing of both our microwave and yours was just funny. :). Thanks again for the great tutorials.

Can you crochet a trapper hat? I’m trying to crochet one and I want it to look the same. There’s some that don’t look consistent. Like they use a different stitch for the ear flaps, or they just make the front head flap square and it’s actually supposed to be more rounded.
@CrochetwithClare5 жыл бұрын
hello, i do not have a pattern for that. thank you for the suggestion. I do have a pattern that has earflaps though www.bobwilson123.org/owl-hat1.html

right at the beginning you say, CH 1, hdc, hdc, and then increase. but you pause before doing the increased and talk about wavy brims. when you start crocheting again you do 3 hdc in a row before increasing. I'm really confused.

@CrochetwithClare7 жыл бұрын
youu could be using the wrong hook or making it too tight. you could try with a hook one size or half a size up. You can find all of my hat patterns here. www.bobwilson123.org/hats.html
@ivanaurosevic628210 жыл бұрын
I made this hat by instructed measurements and it turns out too wide for my head (for about 2 vertical lines). My stiches were tight, I used cotton instead of wool yarn. What can I do to fix the hat without crochet it again?
@CrochetwithClare10 жыл бұрын
Pull the hat back a few rows and then re do those few rows with a smaller hook, it will tighten up the band and should fit better.

+Jamie Smith Just pause the video. No need to keep up with the tutors hands. Watch, grab a hook, pause, do it on your project, and watch the video. That is what I like about videos so much, you can pause and speed up to your own pace. So much better than the days when I had a friend in front of me. She would go so fast and I would have to tell her to do that over again. With a video, you just pause when ever you want.

what an awesome idea!! the way I started was buy a skein of yarn a 5mm hook and work on adjusting your tension. I literally spent days making one big chain so I got used to the feel of the yarn. it is something you may have to work at but trust me the dedication pays off! I would search beginners crochet. Also you can find so many ideas on Pinterest!! Hope you have fun and if you get frustrated or bored don't give up, we all have whacky days!!
