Gurjinder singh, Thanks for the comment, You can well like that, And not use a grinder, Turn your heat up, 5/32 7018, I run it at 150, I whip and pause , On galvanize, If I'm not Penetrating, That means turn your heat up, You should be able to cut through it, And work your rod whip and pause, Half Moon's, Keeping a good quarter inch bead, You'll figure it out, Good luck, Have a great day!

I weld fire sprinkler systems and back when I first started the galvanized pipe used to be the worst to weld... You live and learn as it's not that bad after a lot of years of practice.... shit to breath through while welding though, I don't recommend large dosses of it.

@FeedYourAR3 жыл бұрын
@@sloppyjonuts9162 Tweco is a brand of welding equipment , dinse is a style of connection. There are multiple styles of connections when you hook up to your machine such as dinse, LC40, and others based on your preferences and amperage needs. Tweco is a brand just like Jackson, or Stinger V. I personally like and use the Tweco Tong T532 stinger or electrode holder( proper term). When selecting a stinger it is really based off of personal preference, I have used many different styles and brands over the years and prefer the Tweco Tong because of the way it feels. It suits my style of welding especially in the way that I hold the stinger when the rod gets down to the end, by allowing me to keep my hand far enough back from the weld and not scorch my glove and shrink the leather, but still maintain the angle that I need to get a proper weld.

Kevin, I would use a clamp ,and use that as a rest, You will figure it out, It's all trial and Error, When you're starting out, Stick welding in this video, Right angle is everything, When running the automatic, The goose neck angle is everything, For all the years that I have done this, And the video I made yesterday with the flux core, You could see I welded over 8" continuous, You have to have a Strong upper body, Leverage on anything, Using your elbow, Whatever it takes, And then you'll be doing it free hand, In the structural end of things, Everything should be done freehand, Thanks for your comment, Have a good weekend!
