I used to hate mornings but now I love them because when I wake up I start my morning a bit slower, as I wake up a little earlier… the nighttime routine is where it starts, shut off from blue light before you sleep, make the morning empowering with meditation, motivation and inspiration to who you want to become! 🙏🏽❤️

Your videos are sometimes one of the few things that can help me get out of bed. It is 4pm and I've been in bed all day and I think I'm going to get out of bed, after watching this. Thank you for doing what you do.

Maybe throw in several push ups before you get on your feet too? I can’t wait to try this. I struggle so hard getting out of bed in the mornings

I LOVE this! I tried it the other day after you mentioned it and it was amazing. The little bump also helps to wake you up and it made me smile too because it´s a bit funny. I sat with my duvet on the floor for about 10 minutes drinking water. It was a great start to the day rather than stressing from the go as it does calm you. If you stay in bed chances are you´re going to lay down and I find sleeping again after you wake up, even for a short time, changes my day quite a bit; more tired, less focused etc. I think you´re supposed to get up when you wake up and it´s close to when you´ve set your alarm. Thanks Mel🙂

I usually slither out of bed anyway lol...but what works with me is that I get my pillow to the floor, I get in meditation posture and I do breathwork...Supernatural Breathing from Joe Dispenza which is a variation of a Yoga breath I learned years ago does the trick, it changes the melatonin to serotonin in the brain through squeezing the spinal fluids up, and also brings the energy of the lower chakras into the crown...this will wake you up, will alleviate anxiety/depression and get the day started right..starting is always the hardest part but after 5 or 6 breaths you start to feel the change...then I meditate 30-60 minutes followed by cold shawer..then Yoga...my spiritual practice is 24/7...hope this comment helps someone. Namaste

Usually I have to pee in the morning so once I'm out of bed and I'm still quite sleepy I sit in a chair.. I consider that my halfway point but I want to try out your method. Hi from Toronto, ON Mel!

At my worst I try waiting until I have to pee, and then I do one more thing as well as peeing, e.g., brushing teeth. I find it important to keep myself from going back to bed, even if I just lie down on the couch 😀. Each time I got to the toilet, I do one more thing. I also watch Mels videos. It also helps to not have a ridiculously soft comfy bed.

I really appreciate, Mel; that you have posted this is a shorter video. Don’t get me wrong, I love your posts but I don’t always have enough time in the moment for some of your longer videos. I would love to see “Mel’s life hacks” regarding somatic exercises in bite size videos like 10 minutes. Also I need to know what brand those epic sweatpants are! LOVE you, Mel! ❤️

Thank you for sharing and what a great idea. Your tips are always so helpful along with your glass half full positive energy. I will do that technique tomorrow. I also agree pets do help in waking up. In addition, they always add some extra spice to your life as well as great wake up partners in the morning.

I did the 5,4,3,2,1 method yesterday because my body was so achey from arthritis and I knew I needed to get up and enroll my son in school. Al these years later and the 5,4,3,2,1 is still working. Unfortunately I don’t have enough space in my room to throw myself on the floor out of bed lol but I still like this

Rolling around in the mattress and just stretching also helps.. then just laying your feet out , then sitting up… then up :)

I have to set alarms for 5pm stop drinking liquids, 6pm take melatonin, and then pee at 8pm. I then get enough sleep to not feel bad the next day. I wake up at 5am from my husbands alarm. I’m a stay at home mom. It’s summer and my son has adhd I can’t even sit in my living room because he’s stimming, messing with my dogs, and I’m waiting to get back on meds. I sit in my bed and in my room whenever I’m not doing something for peace. My kids are too loud and irritating that I have to keep taking breaks. My son took a pick ax to my background at 7am ruining my yard making loud bangs. He then goes upstairs and plays drums to wake up my daughter. Then he is now jumping off the couch upstairs over and over I’ve asked him 4 times to stop. My husband refuses to get him medicated. So I get to deal with constant complaints at school, constant retest taking, and barely passing grades. If you use your room or bed to keep your peace people need to chill about this. It’s annoying how we have to be productive 24/7. If you’re doing some activity, cleaning, and taking care of your kids. If you need to go to your room to have peace from your chaotic house I don’t see the issue. I used to have a couch in here to not sit in bed my dog chewed it up.

I have severe depression despite taking medication and struggle to get out of bed. I haven't been able to work in over a year and its stressing me out. I have tried many medications and not much benefit. I can't do the slither because i am obese and have arthritis in my knees. Is there another method to try? Thank you for your videos.

***** MEL & TEAM, please read this, I have said it before: PLEASE QUIT with the message that "NO ONE IS GOING TO SAVE YOU". The reason is that so many are committing suicide right now and your message gives them no hope that no one will show up for them, so people decide to opt out permanently. I CANNOT express how important removing that message from your content is. People are extremely FRAGILE right now I this world that is not connected. Thank you.
