I'm a semi pro painter, painted several homes inside and out, but any time I'm in doubt, I just look up one of your videos. You always have great advice. Today you taught me to use 3M 2020 tape on stucco, thanks!! I have to paint the 2nd story eaves all the way around my house. They're 60 years old and have never been painted (long story). The tannin bleeds right through the water based primers I've tried, going to try some oil based primer. Thanks for all you do.

Nice job. There are a lot of stucco situations where the surface is very rough and you can risk blow off or saturation of regular masking tape. In these situations i use 3M 3060 stucco tape. I use the tape by pulling off in half, that way its easier to use and you get 120yds of straight lines. Then masking is applied on top of stucco tape as usual. Most often used masking the stucco for painting eaves and masking along ground level concrete or flooring for a crisp line

Chris you usually caulk your masking either clear or white. Did you do this here or no? If you didn’t caulk how are you able to get that straight line with exterior applications. Interior you normally caulk.
