If you ever confused “Stuck in the Middle With You” with a Bob Dylan song, then mission accomplished: The tune was meant as a Dylan parody. The lyrics themselves - think, “Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right” - were intended to represent an industry cocktail party. Though the Scottish band had three studio albums and lead singer Gerry Rafferty went on to have solo hits like “Baker Street,” “Stuck in the Middle With You” has become particularly cemented in music history thanks to its placement in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs and, in more recent years, as the theme song to the Netflix show Grace and Frankie.

He looks so joyous doing so. But then again, listening to this masterpiece makes me joyous too! Definitely a priceless Tarantino movie...with most excellent music. RIP Gerry. Listened to this song when I was a kid and my brother was in a band, then as a teenager, then when I met my ex husband, up until now. I love this band, the way they use auto tune in this day and era it literally means any Joe or Jane can record a record, but bands back in the day used their God given talents, vocals and writing abilities to put forth messages that we as listeners took and made our own comforts out of. I started smoking/drinking/drugs at the age of 9 to numb my trauma and fit in, I'm around 5 years clean, for some reason I'm not one of the people who can do the "4 years, 5 months, 5 minutes, 2 seconds clean", I can't even remember the date I actually stopped dope and drinking, but I did, and most believe that you can't do it unless you are ready and do it for yourself, thats absolutely BULLSHITE as I did it for my child, because I liked being numb, not remembering, not having nightmares, not feeling but I LOVE my child more. This band and its music was there for me lots throughout my life when I needed comfort, just listening to their soothing jams gives you peace, takes you out of places you don't want to be in and puts you in amothers for as long as you want to be there. Thank you for making this beautiful music for us. Thank you for being your amazing selves everyone. Peace and much love sent from Ontario, Canada.
