this is just a larger part of a systemic issue, that being copyright abuse due to stupid and mild punishment when it goes too far, hope you're able to unfuck these foriegn, outdated, laws, man :/

Brazil is similar to Japan in the sense that the exceptions for copyright are not applied as an affirmative defense, but as a set of use cases that are explicitly defined for publication. such exceptions includes didactic and journalistic work, critiques, and Article 47 explicitly states "Free are the parodies and paraphrases that are not true reproductions of the original work nor that implies discredit." (L9610 if you wanna look it up) which i think makes the more strictly defined systems far better than in the US where the exception as a defense makes it be treated like everything is an infringement until a lawsuit decides otherwise. Fair Use as a doctrine sucks.
