I feel like a kid in a candy store watching your videos, Shae, whilst your stunning home is your dream come to life, it’s a dream home to view also for us. I love your honesty - for example a few pieces are being moved for now due to Margo being so little right now, it sets you apart from others here. Me being honest now, my autistic Son walked past the TV stopped, watched for a bit and said “wow beautiful” I thought he meant your home till he said “that lady is beautiful, Mum she is beautiful on her insides”. He tends to sense sweet souls. ☺️ I hope Studio McGee goes international in the future as I’d 💯 purchase your home decor items. Anyhoo, a rant yet thank you for sharing your processes, teachings and awe inspiring home with us all. Take good care, Guys. ☮️💜

Wow! When I watched the vid of you discussing how you wanted to make the living room and staircase and all that vastness less, well, vast and warmer I thought how on earth is she going to do that?! But oh my gosh you did it and it looks beautiful! So warm and cozy which is just amazing when you consider the height of your livingroom. Thank you for explaining how and why each and every design decision was made. I loved the tour but I also really learned so much and picked up some great ideas as well. Well done! It's gorgeous.

I really love the changes you made. I liked how it was before, but those changes really enhanced the room. I think my only issue is that the amount of furniture in the living room seems a bit much on the edge of cluttered. Great color palate! Thank you for NOT having a TV in that area too. It means you can all focus on one another or read a good book (alone or to your family)! I really like that shelf unit next to the fireplace. I enjoy what you have curated inside of it too. I love how you "steal" things from other areas and mix it up in an area where it hadn't been. Smart.

The changes to the house itself are a big improvement to make the high ceilings and vastness of space feel more cozy. I might have tried an even darker paint on the ceiling. I love your drapery rod height, it’s not so high that it looks ridiculous, it relates to the windows well. I am a bit miffed that the tv is so high, I would have planned that wall to have a tv at a lower height beside the fireplace for less neck strain. I would have tried no skirting and leather on the divan by the stairs considering all the upholstered pieces you have. Love the coffee and console tables.

Hello! I'm not from the USA, so i have a question i'm very curious to know. :) Since Americans construct their homes using wood rather than concrete, stone, or steel, I'm curious about how they withstand the effects of hurricanes and other weather-related events. If the walls aren't made of stone, does the home lose its integrity? or does it still echo if it is constructed of wood?
