Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it, have a look on the channel, there are a lot of similar videos of different parts of Liverpool. Thanks for watching.

Thanks again, mate! Great video! Trees - a magnificent stand of Scots Pine with the usual Wych Elms and English Elms! I have seen the original Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens in London! It is based on the book: ‘Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens’ by JM Barrie! The Palm House is magnificent - it’s a good job it was saved by the local community! Ness Botanic Gardens on the Wirral also has a palm house and a stunning collection of trees and plants including the Sensitive Mimosa whose leaves shrivel up as soon as they are touched! Weird!

There's a couple of other trees in the Park I will visit in summer. They aren't in the Palm House but there's a Persian Ironwood Tree that is supposed to be a great example. Thanks for watching.

Parks are wonderful escapes from the mundane. I have been lucky in my life - We had a large, glass "palm house" in my hometown, and also here where I'm living now. They are great places to visit and stroll around in. Thanks, Scouse-dude, for this video.

I enjoy the outside more than inside. I last year went to explore Allerton Towers. I say go there in the summer and be amazed.

Yes I'll have a walk around in there in summer, it's close to that video I filmed of the WW2 Pillbox in Clark Gardens, thanks for watching.

Nice one mate, I try to do videos that provide a positive distraction for people who haven't figured out their TV is doing them significant harm yet :) glad you're enjoying them.

So Sefton park is my home I can see the palm house from my window, on the corner of Green bank rd is an old Victorian building converted into flats at the rear of the building are the original coach / stables , about 100 yard onto greenbank rd is an old world war 2 bunker visibile from the rd , by far the best park in Liverpool. I say that with bias 😊,great vid loads of information 👍

It's a great park I agree, I used to run around the perimeter when I was home on leave. I was literally the only person running around there late mornings some days, now it's full of people running and walking their dogs. I'm very happy to see it being used way more than it was in the early 2000s. Thanks for watching.

About 3 years ago all the surrounding properties received letters from the council to say they were intending to install parking meters in and around the park it fell through then they wanted to sell off the land just facing the bridge and pull down all them beautiful trees , all them trees are numbered as are most in the park , council always looking to make money ,

Excellent Vlog as always. I remember the Peter Pan statue being in the old location by the lake. Also do you remember the Captain Hook ship that was on the lake not to far from the statue. I remember it in the 80s and very early 90s but disappeared must of been taken away. Went to the palm house few years ago on Halloween and they had a movie night “Gremlins”. Keep up the great work

I don't remember the ship but watching the Gremlins inside the Palm House sounds brilliant. Great setting and an excellent film. Thanks for watching.

Thanks so much for your visit to Sefton Park. I remember timing it so well one Sunday that there was a barbershop quartet singing in the Palm House. It added to Victorian atmosphere. A few years later, my sister got married there 😀 ps. I think Peter Pan was stolen one time? 🤷♀️🤦♀️
@BeesWaxMinder6 күн бұрын
It wasn't BUT a few of the animals on around him in the plinth were stolen when I first saw it but they've been faithfully reproduced back again🐇 Talking of which, not far from the palm house, is the original "statue of Eros" like the less grand version is in Piccadilly Circus down in London❤
@PH_19646 күн бұрын
@BeesWaxMinder Oh is that what happened? Thanks. Isn't it wonderful that Liverpool was the second most important city after London? So many street names the same and Eros now you mention it. Even Woolworth's HQ was moved from NY to Liverpool 😀

@ and Central Park in New York was copied from Birkenhead Park too!

The trees are maturing beautifully. Not been for 40 years. Anyone remember Larks in the Park? Icicle Works and Big Country at a free festival?

I don't remember any of those but I'm glad the Palm House is still being used. Great sot in a lovely park. Thanks for watching.

I thought I spotted a pair of your shoes under the Indian Rubber Plant :) I spotted a Witch Shop today filming in Lark Lane, I'm sure you know about it, I'm putting that video up tomorrow. I think I'll go in next time and get some info to broaden my spiritual knowledge haha.
