I can't imagine a loan officer not bothering to look into grant $$. Obligated to or not ..

It is not their responsibility and that it why it is important to pick your Loan Officer carefully and not simply go to the bank where you have your checking account. This is also why it is important to learn about the process before moving forward. There are plenty of uninformed grant qualified buyers that left thousands on the table, because they were uninformed. You don't know what you don't know :-) THANKS
