I truly believe the addition of mike as his coach further encouraged this predictable play style. His first two years in Houston we saw the okc version of his game where he wasn’t so predictable. So many times in critical situations I’ve seen him go for a 3 or try to kick it out when a layup is right there for him. It’s either those two or straight up try to draw a cheap foul instead of taking the simple mid range shot we all know he’s capable of making. The simple stuff like taking a mid range to stop the bleeding was what made Chris Paul so effective for the rockets when he was there.

All the great players on the perimeter (MJ, Kobe, Bron, etc the former who people thought he was the better 1-on-1 scorer than) all have a counter if something doesn’t work. Him spamming screen and rolls against elite defense who play him multiple times in a row will know all his tendencies compared to bottom dwellers where he had those 50 point triple doubles in the regular season. Stunted i cant lie. Im not a Harden fan but i find it hard to beleive he fell of this far this fast.. He can move he cant jump. It just dont seem possible to fall this quick..so im thinking he needs some offseason surgery and if he come back in shape he will be better..will the Sixers win. Oh naw. But James will play better..

I don’t think he’s washed I just think the nba stopped making terrible calls in his favor so that encourages defenders to play him closer n it stops him from having space n from getting so many free throw attempts

Too busy in the strip clubs, hanging with rappers, strippers & ig models instead of crafting his game, mindset to be a champion. James Harden has hit the wall hard 👌🏾.

Harden is hands down the most overrated player in league history. Listen, I know alot of fans of the modern nba don't wanna hear this, but he'd be a 15 to 20 a game scorer if he played back in the 90's or early 2000's. Nearly half his points he's scored over the course of his career comes directly from getting calls and shooting ft's that he simply would not have gotten back then, (yes a bit of an exaggeration, but not by a whole lot). That and the ridiculous amount of travels the refs let him get away with. Im well aware of the interpretation of the rule now allows for nearing 3 effin steps after you pick up your dribble, but this is a relatively newer interpretation of the rile. Back in the 90's and early 2000's they didn't call all that many travels back then either, but half the shit that refs let go nowadays would certainly have warranted a travel call. James isn't the only player to take advantage of this, but like with the constant flopping and flailing in order to get a foul called to then go to te line for ft's, he's probably taken advantage of this current rule interpretations the most of anyone in the league. I mean shit, the rule used to be 1 and a half to 2 steps, he'd be called for traveling at least 3 or 4 times a game if he tried doing half the shit he does now if we had gone back to the rules/interpretations of the late 90's. As for why he disappears in the playoffs so often has to do with him simply not being a big-time clutch player, but also due to the significant increase in defensive intensity, so the way he'd get many of his buckets in the regular season simply doesn't work as well, and because he isn't the most athletically gifted player while also a shorter SG - all combine to make his output harder to come by. There's also the fact that he, despite having a string of games in a row where he demonstrates how good of a play-maker/passer he could be, while still getting his own shot, most of the time though he's a ball-dominant ball hog, which makes it even easier for defenses to key in on him in the post-season. He has quite often still put up a good amount of points in the playoffs, but usually at the expense of his teammates. Of course there's also the fact he is literally one of the worst defenders of all time to boot

“What club” 😂 I honestly believe his style of play just doesn’t match with the playoffs same with Luka players with that high of a usage just never succeeds in the playoffs moving forward. I also believe harden still hurt but who knows

Your belief is historically correct. TNT did a study, and players with extreme usuage rate don't win a ring and get hurt.

I wouldn't say washed I'll say more of a crossroads in his career it's time to give of the strip club and partying and following the rappers around like a groupie and focus on training and eating habits because he not at the age where he can ignore it anymore

Good points. Age 33,your body gains weight faster as you age, especially when you're not training harder as you age. You're fight about the strip-clubs,staying out late,33 should be the age when you leave those things to the young-bucks !!! Focus on more important things/issues,you know=GROW-UP. LOL.
