This video is Benjamin Pearson Ex Channel 5 Police Interceptor, talking about burglars, and just how stupid they are. Why can't they just go get a real job and how much effort do they really put into taking other peoples things. What do they look like, dress like and how scary are they?

I hate them scumbags, I was broken into just over 4yrs ago and the scumbag got away with nearly a grand while I was at the courner shop... I think home owners should have the power to do what they want with these scumbags... sometimes the law of the land stinks.

One other tip to mention when you go on holidays, is don't post pics on social media until you are back, it is an easy advertisement to let people know you are away from home and your house is likely ripe for the picking.

Another tip, never have your home address keyed into your Sat Nav. If your car is nicked its easy to find where you live that way. Make your local Nick your 'Home Address' . That way at the very least your car will appear on their CCTV and with luck the faces of the bastards in the car.

I honestly think that home security has to be overlapping so that bases are covered from both opportunistic theft and more sophisticated attack. In our case, we went with 3 star anti snap locks, sash jammers on doors and windows, security handles, laminated security glass, secure by design window and door sets, police monitored alarm with dual path signalling and power back up.....plus everything is locked and secure if we are in or if we are out. There is bugger all else we can do, and having been burgled before for our cars (yep, one was a bloody Golf R, aint doing that again!), I don't really like leaving gaps in security if I can avoid it.

Basically, do all you can to secure your possessions because if you were to get burgled or mugged for them the police won't do anything and its extremely likely you'll see them again.
@TheWeepingDalek
@TheWeepingDalek Жыл бұрын
what exactly can they do? you are aware of this little thing called innocence until proven guilty. burglars rarely have their faces on show and rarely leave fingerprints. so there is rarely enough evidence. when crimes like rape and murder often have very low conviction rates. burglary will never stand a chance. the only way the police could stop them is if they catch them in the act.

@TheWeepingDalek

@@kolobok2712 hell no. Most burglars aren't a threat to your safety. And genuinely don't want to cause the Occupants any harm. They just want stuff. And stuff doesn't justify taking life. You should only be allowed to use deadly force if your own life is at risk.

I cant remeber where i saw this, but there is a statistic that the majority of burguleries happen during the day. If there is noise no one will suspect anything at 1pm, however people will be suspicious past 9pm.

Sorry Ben, I absolutely love your content and I'm a long time subscriber, but.... "Do not feel scared, just let them have what they want"... You can't tell someone not to feel scared. Intruders don't just "take" anymore, they use violence and they can AND DO kill. PROTECT YOUR HOME AND YOUR CASTLE. If an Intruder gets in your life IS at risk and the police WILL NOT ARRIVE UNTIL ITS TOO LATE.

Pains me to say this but when my sisters 595 was pinched, they left the disklock (which was on) on the drive as they sped off. The stoplock needs cutting off, the disklock needs to be forced off. 99% of the time, they don't bother or they can't do it, but it's something to keep in mind.

Not all people who struggle with addiction are thieves. I've been broken into and robbed so I know how tramuatic it is ( I'm 5'4 9 stone woman and I heard the noise and seen him I was attacked the rings on my fingers taken and my mobile the police caught him and he had prison he got in through the living room bay windows I felt so unsafe there I moved out) but to shame people with addiction doesn't help.

Being a mental health advocate also means thinking about the mental health of the criminals. Don't get me wrong obviously burglary is wrong, but people stealing for drugs are usually suffering form severe mental health issues and addiction. Obviously they still need to be reprimanded for what they have done, but calling them 'scum' etc... is the wrong way to think about dealing with the problem.

Thus IS a joke right ?!! Wrong channel you’ve picked for ‘ sympathetic hugs for the perp ‘ mate. Taking your dead wife’s wedding ring , your laptop with your business stuff/ university work / pictures tragically dead child on ? Beating them calf to death and allowing them to live with permanent injuries is the only sympathy I and others here will show ffs.
@rugward
@rugward Жыл бұрын
@@serenityinside1 You clearly didn't read my comment properly and I don't endorse 'sympathetic hugs for the perp'. They absolutely deserve to be punished, but small time thieves with mental health issues also deserve to be treated like humans. Not 'beaten half to death with permanent injuries'. Which by the way is an awful thing to say and if you truly believe that, it makes you just as bad the burglars we are talking about.

House burglars are scum! There's got to be some things you just don't do, creeping around someone else's home & stealing their belongings is one of them. I've had mental health issues all my life (& drug & alcohol addiction) but i never lowered myself to house burglaries. I wouldn't even associate with house burglars. I suppose you excuse muggers who have mental & addiction issues too? Send them all to jail, i found it the best place to get clean/get myself together.

100% agree. Not trying to diminish Ben's trauma. But the way he constantly calls EVERY criminal a 'shit bag' in EVERY video and in some videos actually LAUGHS at people suffering with their own traumas. One who broke the legs trying to kill themself. Ben found it hilarious cause his boss made him jump. The contempt he has for the public as someone in authority is actually shocking.
