The final pieces of the Stuttgart 21 puzzle are coming together. The new platform hall at Stuttgart Central Station is also nearing completion of the shell. Civil engineer Tinashe Shoniwa from Deutsche Bahn shows and explains the concreting of the last section of the so-called spectacle wall, where the rail tunnel and station concourse meet. Tinashe Shoniwa directs the eye away from the spectacular goblet supports and towards the less conspicuous parts of the station concourse, which were created with an equally great awareness of form and elegance.
