Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard

Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard

Күн бұрын

Today we pay homage to one of the "unsung heroes" of WWE history, a true pioneer, and bonafide Hall of Famer the incomparable "Sensational" Queen Sherri Martel. Bruce and Conrad will examine how she got into the business but more importantly why she got in the business. We will trace her steps from training, her debut, her first big breaks, and of course her recruitment to join the World Wrestling Federation. Who recruited her may surprise you! Bruce also explains why it almost didn't happen, why Sherri got her "push" so quickly, and how that may have effected her relationship with her trainer. Somehow it's all connected for Sherri... until the company lost faith in the women's division. The discuss why that happened and what was next for Sherri... madness. Macho Madness of course. Her pairing with Randy is when she really became the icon she is and the guys discuss their favorite moments of that run including a never before heard story about a real life situation with another talent. Bruce explains the behind the scenes relationship between Randy, Liz, and Sherri, why the pairing with DiBiase wasn't a better fit, why she was the perfect companion for Shawn Michaels, and of course why her run with the company to an end. Don't miss a very special Something to Wrestle about the Sensational One!

LOVED Sherri Martel! I wrote an email to her a lonnnnng time back and she actually replied back to me! Little thing? Possibly. But her doing that showed wonderful CHARACTER , and it made my day, so, there ya go. It truly is the little things in life for me, and that made a nice little memory of which I'm sharing today!😉 Thank you Sherri, RIP!

What an episode! I was present in the Joe Harry Freeman Coliseum the night Ultimate Warrior clashed with Macho Savage in the big blue cage. Climax: Savage and Sherri climb the cage, savage gets pulled down, bare-Assed back in the ring, as warrior pulled his tights down, huge Pop! But, as Warrior pulled down Sherri on the outside, her garment gave way to bedazzled lingerie! Loudest pop I’ve ever experienced live! I was 8-9 years old! Tip of the hat to Sherri, she sold the moments a lot of us remember

While WWE loves to shove Becky Lynch down our throats as being "The Man" (SMDH......,) I think Sherri Martel (and possibly Miss Jackie as well) are the only female wrestlers that moniker would be _believable_ simply because they commanded so much respect from the men and the women. In real-life while being absolute sweethearts and very attractive would just assume beat the living shyt out of any woman or MAN that got out of line. No one wanted to mess with either of them. Becky Lynch doesn't look like she can fight her way out of a wet paper-bag in a real-life fight.

Dusty, Sapphire, and Miss Elizabeth dancing at the end of their match at WrestleMania is funny slight cringe. But super nostalgic looking back.

I don't blame Sherri for wanting to Sapphire to Shower, Sherri is like " You don't want to shower, I'll get you in the shower, BOOM goes Sapphire thrown in shower lol". You gotta wash yer "Gear" cuz it gets smelly!!

@@AWX_Wrestling why did Vader not shower? Geez can you imagine Iron Mike Sharpe's water bill. He got locked in the arena sometimes cuz he was in the shower literally for hours. He had that Germs phone disease.

Such an underrated wrestler/manager. She was such a great fit with the Macho King Randy Savage. As far as managers go she's not far behind the greatest, Bobby The Brain Heenan.

Sherri's shoot interview - she's so sweet and nice, got messed around by a few fellas - bizarre that anybody would want to or would dare to. Show's her work i guess. Even had a sexy voice.

Pretty disappointing one. I was really looking forward to this but towards the end they literally just skipped past things. No discussion about Sherri taking the mirror shot, what was the long term plan for Sherri & Marty? How did Luna come into play? Did they get along? What where the house show matches like? Was there a planned mixed tag with Tatanka & Sherri vs Luna & Bam Bam? Any talks of ever bringing her back? I feel like end of her run was totally glossed over
@ajk

Honestly? I think they phone it in half the time now. I have noticed in past, certain things like that are glossed over seemingly randomly, and I wouldn't say just on this show either. Not like it used to be.
