I think that part of his problem is the aim assist on console. You mentioned that he was aiming at the targets and not leading his shots. When his targets were close by his aim was really not bad, because he didn't have to lead his shots. And when he pulled up the score screen for the only time in the video, it showed that he had 27% accuracy, which is pretty standard and not bad for Zenyatta. I think part of this is what makes him choose to take up crazy postions, because he finds he does more consistent damage at close range. I also think he sent in this VOD hoping you'd be like, "Oh you're actually quite good, you don't belong in bronze" but he's playing against a brain dead team. It's hard to coach someone and point out some of the smaller flaws when the team they're playing against just sucks. And while I don't think he belongs in bronze, I also don't understand how he doesn't know how the secondary fire works. He didn't charge it up full once in the entire video.

pavlovianprogramming I don't think his problem was aim assist. Most of the time he was firing his shots behind the target or when his cursor was on the target.. making most of his shots miss unless he was close or lucky with spam. You are correct though for the most part on aim assist. I usually turn mine off for projectile heroes because it messes up my aim. His number one thing he needs to work on is his tracking and hitting mid-long range moving targets. He would probably be so much more effective if he actually landed his shots. The fire strike thing was annoying.. that rein peobably got like 70% of his ult charge off the player.

As a console Zen player, I feel like my aim with Zen is pretty bad. I wonder if it has something to do with aim assist, because I'm okay with hitscan heroes like Widow or McCree. Or maybe I'm just trash with projectile heroes. But my own experience aside, aim assist could be a problem for many people.

mormegil84 Yeah, basically what you have to think about aim assist is that it slows the cursor sensitivity down as you get close to a target to help you from overshooting or coming off the target. The strength is how much is adjusts your sensitivity, and the window is how large the area is around targets. That is why on projectile heroes or even fine aiming heroes aim assist can be a detriment.. especially if your sense is very low already. Aim assist is really good if you are a flick aimer for hitscan, but still bad for projectiles unless you have a large window and come at it from the opposite direction of the moving target.. ie target moving right.. you have to be coming from the right.. otherwise if you try catching up to the target your cursor will hit an invisible wall that takes an extra effort to overcome. But that is just my personal preference.

**SERIOUS COMMENT** Hey Stylosa! I have a problem with Voice-Comms... that there isn’t Any. Not that my team isn’t speaking in it, i bet they are, But the game won’t let me join VC’s... When looking through the Sound options in game, everything is as it should be, and i have tried every single combination other than everything ON and on Default... i Think it has to do the game (or my computer) not Letting me talk, nor is blocking out my headset as a viable Way to hear Voice comms... i have Nothing Else that uses the Mic/Headset (my headset does not have a Mic, yet This shouldn’t be. Problem for me to hear the others), and yet the 2 Voice Comms Sounds are Grey’d out, as i can’t interact with Them... I don’t know What it should be... and i’d love to hear if you have anything that could help! If not a comment, maybe make a video on This? To any aspiring Zenyatta(s) it is so important to right click that even when I switch targets after getting a kill I’m holding right click. It’s easier to kill dive hero’s, Chuck it through doorways, or even just burn down a barrier or tank. Take it from a top500 player, it is the most important thing to realizes and will level up your Zen literally today, if there a millisecond of downtime right click. Also call out your discord’s and let your team help you kill people.

I think the thing to tell him is maybe not to just not eat the firestrikes, because in his mind it’s absolutely fine because he cansurvive it and he will regain his health. So he won’t get why you’re so mad about him eating them, because he doesn’t die from them. You need to tell him the really important fact that when he gets hit with firestrike, the Rein will charge his ultimate, and we don’t want that. You need to let him know that HE is the reason Rein gets his ultimate back quickly and kills the team, and at that point it doesn’t matter if he survives the firestrike or not, because it helps the other team more if he eats it than it does to him. This is important for a bronze player to know at become better because of. You can’t assume they know these things. They might, but most probably don’t think about it.

Sty, you commented that he was using his orbs relatively well. There were a lot of times where he did not have a healing orb on someone. I play console gold and below and I feel like if I don't have a healing orb on someone 24 seven that the team suffers. Cause we almost always have a comp with below average healing at that level. I am wondering if you didn't think that was an issue because at the higher levels you have enough total healing that it's not a difference maker? Maybe there was just too much else to comment on? As a Zen Player on console i would suggest atleast a sensitivity of 70 wit exponential aim. Focus on the Tanks, spam chokes and as sty mentioned always charge your alternate fire. I think these are the basic tipps to get out of bronze

Sty mentioned that he is not really in a position to discuss console controller settings. Well, I have more than 20 years of console FPS experience (Golden Eye, bitches!), so I am going to go over some major points. Be warned: this will be long, so get a snack. First thing's first: the controller itself. There are a lot of fancy controllers on the market with all sorts special features, like non-slip grips, illuminated buttons, and all manner of crap. I once had a controller for the original X-Box that had a damn fan in it blowing air onto your palms. Generally speaking, all that stuff is useless. Unless you are having specific problems like slipping or sores from a controller that doesn't fit your hand well, you will be just fine with the controller that came with the console. The only accessory I would recommend is stick extensions (I will explain why later). Now, while the controller itself isn't all that important, how you treat is very important. I cannot emphasize this enough: TREAT THE CONTROLLER WITH CARE! It is your best friend, but it is fickle: piss it off, and it will end you. Do not, under any circumstances, leave the controller face down on any surface, for any amount of time! The sticks are held basically by a set of rubber bands. When the controller is face down, the weight of the controller will push the sticks to one side, stretching those rubber bands. The rubber bands will loose their elasticity, and the stick will not return to neutral when you release it. This is very bad. Those bands will wear out eventually, and the controller will need to be replaced. There is no need to speed up that process. Similar problems with buttons sticking will also occur. Rein needs to use his shield, but if your left trigger sticks, he can't put it down and that just looks stupid. So keep the controller clean and in good condition. And for God's sake, check the batteries! Speaking of buttons, a PC player can be pressing at least 7 keys at once: one for each finger on the keyboard, and at least two on the mouse. A console player can only be pressing four keys: your thumbs and your index fingers. This can present some problems. Most cross-platform games will come with default button maps that are VERY strange, and Overwatch is one of the worst offenders. For example, the default controller map for the X-Box version of Overwatch has jump mapped to the A button. The A button is pressed with the right thumb, which also controls the right stick, and the right stick is how you aim. This means that using the default settings, Genji can't aim and jump at the same time. Obviously, that is very bad. Figure out a button map that allows you to smoothly operate EVERY character. This may require you to customise the button map for each character individually. If so, do it, and don't forget to map the interact function. I lost a match once because our Orisa had never mapped a button to allow him to use Sym's teleporter. I changed my jump to the left bumper (which by default activates one of your abilities), and set the least aim-sensitive ability for each hero to the A button. Find a system that works for you. As for aiming itself, there are a LOT of misconceptions about aiming on console. For example, it is NOT true that it is significantly harder to aim on console than on PC. What console players DO have to worry about is turn rate. To be highly accurate, many players reduce their sensitivity to the absolute minimum level. At such low sensitivities, you can headshot Tracer from across the map as McCree, but the stick can only move so far, meaning it will take about five minutes to turn 360 degrees. The problem is so bad that some survival-horror games on console have a command just for quickly turning around. There are a couple of things you can do to combat this problem. The first is the stick extensions I mentioned. They are little plastic sticks that snap on to the thumbsticks, making the stick long. Because the controller only measures the angle of the stick, not the position of your thumbs, this means that a given thumb movement produce a smaller input without sacrificing maximum input. So get some extensions and turn the sensitivity up a little. Another way to help with aim is using the console's secret weapon: the left thumbstick. A PC player can move in a grand total of eight directions: A, S, W, D, and any combination that doesn't result in standing still. Furthermore, they can only move at two speeds: as fast as possible or not at all. Console players can move in any direction and at any speed they want, so a decent Hammond player can roll along the girders above point B on Horizon Lunar Colony while looking straight down to line up the piledriver. How does this help you aim? Well, let's assume you are in a widow duel. You come around a corner and see the enemy widow, and she sees you. Your cross-hair is almost, but not quite, on her head. If you use the right stick to aim, you can easily move too far, miss your shot, and get drilled. Instead, use the left stick to side step slightly, line up the shot, and fire. This is especially useful for McCree against a Tracer. If your cross-hair is one body width to the left of her, you only have to move one body width to the right and fire, which is easy. Ultimately, though, the best thing you can do is be calm. It isn't actually that hard to aim with high sensitivity using just the right stick while moving, if you relax. Yes, you don't have a giant mouse pad to move across, but you don't need it. For the most part, PC players aim with the muscles in their wrists, elbows, and shoulders. Those muscles are all capable of reasonably fine movements, but there are very few things in biology with the dexterity of human thumbs. Thumbs are capable of performing movements so precise you need a microscope to see them (I performed animal microsurgery in Grad School), so moving a control stick is a piece of cake. The problem is that people freak out when they are trying to do it. I can often hear the other players on my team not holding their breath (the mic is always transmitting on console). Every few seconds, I can hear them gasp for air. If you aren't breathing, you also aren't hitting anything. To help with relaxing, get a good chair, find a comfortable position, and breathe. If you stay loose, you will aim better. Tense up, and that other widow is going to waste you. Oh, and if you still think console players can't aim, try bunny-hopping across a field in PUBG and see how long your head stays attached. Or, better yet, give me a KF7 on The Facility, and I will school you, asshole.

Lucio's ult is for countering burst damage ults like rip tire or pulse bomb and Zen's is for countering Constant damage ults like tactical visor or dragon strike

Henry Nguyen rank isn’t based on wins, mvp cards or potgs. i don’t know the specifics but i’m sure someone does. easy things to work on to improve are positioning & not dying. you’d be surprised how much not dying helps

Ok, I play on console around 3800. I want to get 2 things straights. 1. At the higher levels, aim becomes almost equal. It's the ult management, game sense and positioning that wins games 2. I have another account that's at 2700. I can't get to diamond on it. Sr is stupid But don't spam alt fire like he does please
