Captured not just what racing looks like on the outside but when you look into his eyes and all he sees is the road ahead, that's when the video pulled me out of my chair and shoved me in the driver's seat! Absolutely brilliant editing! It captured the powerful finesse of the car as well as the passion of driving one. Just awesome....

@tropickman12 жыл бұрын
Big respect to Higgins for recovering that one at 150 mph. What makes that even tougher is that you cannot lean on throttle to pull you out at all, as you are coming in 6th gear, at the time of roll the engine speed is to low for any significant pull power! Kudos to Higgins, you could see the seriousness of it in his eyes and face!

After almost 4 years, you could correct dampers brand, its not Tien but TEIN. And add some basic information ab mods: -which Tein set -exhaust without remap or fuel pump? -no oil cooler? -stock gearbox ratio? -no Spec-C or Q-rack quick steering rack? ( 4:27 ??) -no anty lift kit or any whitelines bushings? IMO it would be fair to fill it.
@sluflyer066 жыл бұрын
wow i dunno what cars you've worked on, what car needs a fuel pump after a catback exhaust? you just made my day. And no the EJ257 does not need a remap unless you swap out the downpipe portion of the exhaust.

It was an amazing show of composure and worth of utmost praise. On the other hand -- to me race driving and motorsports adrenaline rush is not about putting the driver (... and a codriver) to stupid risks like that. I think driving is fun, because it's about having the skill and the reflexes to control the vehicle with precision, not about guts to put your life on the line driving 150 MPH on a bumpy road.

I'm a biker and I love the TT , but I've got a lot of respect for Mark Higgins, a brilliant rally driver and Isle of Man legend. That lap is not slow, and a car is much wider than a bike so it was a very impressive effort, you've much less road available.
@Theloonytoons13 жыл бұрын

Did you bother to read the description? "The WRX STI was a production US spec car running a standard 305 HP turbocharged boxer engine. Some safety modifications were made. The Subaru was equipped with a Lifeline fire suppression system, Hockley Motorsports roll cage, motordrive competition seats, Mintex brake pads (but stock calipers and rotors), and a louder open exhaust to warn spectators of the on-coming car. The speed limiter was turned off to allow a higher maximum speed"
