Save money on a new Subaru Levorg: www.carkeys.co.uk/subaru/levo...
On first glance, the Subaru Levorg might look like a bit of an oddity. Here’s a family estate car with the same giant bonnet scoop as the WRX STi and twin exhausts, but with the same kind of gearbox you’d get in a Prius…
Still, beyond the details the Levorg pitches itself as a brilliantly practical estate car and it’s not half bad to drive either. But does its eccentricity hurt its appeal, or can it give more traditional options a run for their money?
In this review, we take an in-depth look at the interior of the Subaru Levorg including its boot size, dashboard and back seats. We then run through performance, price and finish up with the all-important verdict - is the Subaru Levorg a good car?
Constantly updated, Car Keys provides first-hand video reviews, as well as all of the latest car news.
Our experienced journalists are passionate about the auto industry, and strive to provide you with all the information you could possibly need before you decide to purchase a new car.
All reviews are available at www.carkeys.co.uk/, but did you know that reviews are just one element of what we do? Our website can also help you find the right car, at a price you can be sure is fair by comparing it against prices paid by other consumers and our own market data. We’ll give you the low down regarding the overall cost of owning specific cars whether you are looking to buy outright, finance or lease a new car.

I am in fact going to buy one of these very soon (Not in the UK though). I need a petrol engine anyway, and the Levorg is just the perfect size for me. On top of that: Best in class handling (Well, except perhaps for BMW), Japanese reliability and the fact that it is just different. I would never consider a Skoda/Seat/VW (Too many around and below average quality/reliability), so the Levorg is just the right package. It's a kind of a "Japanese Saab" to me :-)

Nice review, it really highlights the true quality of the car. I can assure you. In real life it looks even better.I have one for 3 months now. It is comfortable and agile. Much like the previous legacy, but with way better acceleration. Fuel consumption is around 6.8 l/100 km and still dropping, but you have to be familiar with the CVT.It is extremely quiet. So quiet I'm considering a deep tone mild sport exhaust. At 180 km/h you only hear wind and tire noise.Grip is insane almost scary. The 1.6 ltr turbo is a perfect match with the cvt. It rarely revs over 3000 rpm, unless you realy floor it, This already gives acceleration well beyond most traffic.Compared to my previous Legacy's (2007 and 2013) this is more comfortable, faster, sportier and easier to drive.

Nothing wrong with the CVT if you know how to get the best out of it. No need to redline it to make good progress. I cannot believe how many people don’t seem to understand Subaru these days, and why they use CVT. They are designed for smooth, relaxed progress, not flooring the pedal and holding it until the engine sounds like it will blow up. Match the engine speed to the revs keeping them low, thats how to do it. I had the Outback and could fly without ever needing to get the revs anywhere near the red line. Im tired of explaining it on countless videos.

Yes, exactly. I drive a Levorg too and %95 of the time I am at 3250 tr/mn maximum. And to take from the lights for example, just rev to 2000 tr/mn and wait, then redeuce throttle as you reach your cuise speed.

I normally hate estate cars, but this looks really good, more like a hybrid between a hatchback and an estate. I'm weirdly attracted to it.

Good review this- hit the nail on the head, there is other stuff out there that out competes it , but.. Ive just bought one! I love subarus , a company that is bold enough to bring a different concept to the market in a sea of bland. And , Ive never had an electrical item of any description fail in any Subaru over 10 years driving them... German cars don't do that . Had one while my XV was being serviced and really enjoyed it, the handling is quite something

Why does UK get the watered down 1.6 version? Aus and NZ it's a awesome 2.0 turbo with handling to match. High on the short list for next family car.

I really love this car, but the only thing discouraged me is the absence of spare tire. And if u get a spare tire for yourself, the boot space is taken. 😢

I'd rather have this than a Skoda! 4 wheel drive and quiet petrol engine, even modern diesels rattle like tractors. also insurance costs for Leon cupra?

Nothing about the stiff suspension and resulting rough ride? Is this a second generation model?
@ssssssss6889
@ssssssss6889 2 ай бұрын
Actually , the suspension is pretty soft but the suspension travel is very short. Then, you have soft ride depending on speed and bump/pothole size/depth; beyond that it becomes harsh. The most ennoying bit to me is the tire and road noise beyond 80 km/h.

I do like them... my last Subaru a 2007 Impreza WRX Wagon. 6 years and I loved it. I just can't make my mind up about a CVT... and what about it's reliability long term ? A manual would be such a sensible option.

CVT is something people hate or they like, everyones gona have their own opinion. Really all you can do is test drive cars with CVT. Ive owned a few cars with cvt and they have never given me problems, unlikes DSGs....

sure, if you buy a car to have in 5 years, or whatever the guarantee is in the UK. but in 10 years time, there wont be a single 2016/2017 leon on the road.

@adrianbeasley6211
@adrianbeasley6211 5 жыл бұрын
Nonsense. This thing will still be running in 15 years time when all its Euro-junk rivals have long since been through the crusher. Why the Pommy obsession with diesels - nominally better fuel economy but actually more polluting due to particulates and a record of the manufacturers lying about the numbers too. Why wasn't VW shut down for this lying? And too many half-wit boy racers wanting manual transmissions - don't any of you actually live in cities where you have to crawl stop-start through traffic jams? One of the biggest lols with English car reviews is the obsession with soft plastics in the interior - pathetic! Subarus are fantastic cars.

looks great but the engine choice is crazy no diesel!? why do Japanese manufactures do silly things all the time
@BraxFilm
@BraxFilm 7 жыл бұрын
because diesel on small cars is stupid unless you commute 40km each day? a lot more trouble to live with, big problem in cities (emissions and so on) horrible sound. the list goes on. Diesel is for hauling, tractors or bigger vehicles where you need more torque, for example in cars like the Toyota Land Cruiser. that 1.6DiT engine is crazy good, just too bad that they dont have manual as an option for car guys/girls

A 1.6! 0-60 in over 9 seconds! Now that makes me want to weep! I remember when subaru first brought out the WRX it didn't look like anything but it went like stink! Performance cars are what Subaru built its reputation on in the UK so it's very disappointing to see the like of VW, Audi and Mercedes now leading the way where once you had legends like Subaru and Mitsubishi. Sad face :-(
