Hey Hun Thank you for making this video, after seeing you do yours I had the courage to do my first dtf design, Print and press. I did have to masking tape a sheet of copy paper behind my film for the printer to see it. and I used butcher paper and I think it robbed me of some heat so I tried just the teflon sheet and it worked.

Oh no! I have a 2720 and no issue but you can try taping a piece of copier paper to the back of the DTF with painters tape. People with a sawgrass have to do this and it works for them

I do not have any problem with the DTF film. I do know people with sawgrass have to tape a piece of copy paper to the back of the film to get it through the machine. I DO have trouble with Easi Subli leaving lines from dragging but it is thicker

So you're using a sublimation ink and print it on DTF film with Hot Melt Powder. Do we need to mirror the image?

Mr. T no sublimation paper will. I have tried EasiSubli and it works well but it has a real plastic type feel. I ordered the new Siser DTV but you print on it with your regular inks. I’ll do a video when I get it. Of course you can sublimate on glitter htv but not everyone wants glitter. If I discover something I’ll let you know. Thanks for watching my video

@@onpointaccents I bought a ghost white toner cartridge for my laser printer and thought about purchasing the film to use it but not sure if it will feel plastic or rubber like on the material.
@onpointaccents2 жыл бұрын
The direct to film is not rubbery feeling. It’s very thin and barely has a feel. I love it. The easi Subli is thick and rubbery. Not a fan If you figure out a way to print on black and other dark colors let me know.

So what's the difference between using a regular Jolee's or other transfer paper ? Thank u great video
@onpointaccents2 жыл бұрын
In general transfer paper doesn’t hold up over a long period of time. It cracks and fades easily. I would say you could use that for things like needing fast matching shirts for birthday party’s and things that you won’t be keeping to wear over and over. I also would not sell anything with transfer paper because it doesn’t hold up that well. The only one I have used that held up was Starcraft. Thanks for watching my videos

I just returned some dtf film because every time I printed , I could see pizza wheels on the image or around the top of each film.. when I print on regular ASub I get no pizza wheels. I have a epson 2720 and use a MacBook.. I even changed my settings to envelope and it still got the pizza wheels .. any advice ???

If you have sublimation ink in it then it works the exact same way
@HalfAssHomestead2 жыл бұрын
Did I hear you right? It sounded like you said 490 for 60 seconds. If you use that high of a temp when sublimating polyester shirts, you are going to be scorching the shirts. I have found that 400 (exact, not what the press is telling you) with very light pressure. Then place parchment over the print, tighten the tension by 1/4 turn and press again for 15 seconds to remove the paper lines. I've never had any sublimation ink bleed through the layers, and I've done 100's of them just this year alone. The better way to sublimate on cotton is a product called Fuze.
@onpointaccents2 жыл бұрын
I use 390
@onpointaccents2 жыл бұрын

@mikala52532 жыл бұрын
This is used on Cotton, the powder helps the transfer adhere to the cotton shirt. If it was polyester, you wouldn't use powder and DTF film.
