Oh wow, I remember a girl from Hong Kong at my primary school used to have those flat red discs. They have a pleasant but unusual taste. I'll check out Infernal Affairs cos I liked the Departed. I'm not asian but I know/can relate to some of stuff you mentioned :)

Yes Lynne, it is for getting rid of the bitter taste of the Chinese medicines haha. Yep definitely check out Infernal Affairs, I think quite a few of the comments did mention that the original HK version is better, but I will let you be the judge. I think some of these are not just applicable to Asians, but most of the cultural groups in general 😉

This group seems cool lots of sterotype asian stuff I don't even know but need to know hahaha. One of the things I strongly agree with after watching Departed and the original infernal affairs, HK version is definitely so much better. What's wrong with getting a SOUP tattoo :D
