If you put one subwoofer's phase switch on zero and a second one on 180° you just put them out of phase from each other. They should both be the same and the settings depend on which way is in phase with the main speakers.

You could pair that subwoofer with something like our Allaire Bluetooth speakers (www.aperionaudio.com/collections/bluetooth-gaming-speakers). Hi Donovan: I am having trouble pairing my KLIPSCH WA-3 Transmitter to my KLIPSCH C-310 ASWI SUB. The pairing process involves activating by pressing a button on the transmitter and holding it until the blue light flashes at high speed. I’ve done this multiple times w/o successful pairing. I’ve powered down both sub and transmitter and attempted pairing again…. (Multiple times) w/o luck. The sub is only 12’ away from the receiver and transmitter. The receiver is an Onkyo Thx NR 595. It is connected to the transmitter w/a single RCA line connected thru the sub-pre out. Both transmitter and sub are brand new.

Yup, no need for the receiver. From your PC, use the headphone 3.5mm output to the Aux analog input on the back of the R15's. Then, run an RCA cable from the sub output (next to the aux input) to the LFE input of the sub.
@Crich12 жыл бұрын
Uh... don't EVER turn it on until AFTER you have all of the cables connected, and dial down the volume control before switching the power on, then increase as appropriate once you know all is ok. (btw, it's not a "gain" control, gain has a different purpose than volume, they aren't the same thing) What you did at 3:10 after showing the fuse can damage speakers and the electronics they are connected to. Your "advice" on phase settings was equally bad (see the many other comments for more info on that). In single cable setups the signal is combined LR (effectively mono) The LR inputs are for when you're feeding the sub separate LR signals via two separate cables, in most cases a Y cable isn't needed for a mono. Using the built-in crossover in the sub instead of the LFE input doesn't necessitate the use of a Y cable. So here's a guy wearing shorts (somewhat unprofessional), giving "advice" which can lead to damaged components and poor subwoofer performance being trotted-out as an expert? This sometimes out-of-focus video hasn't been revised or deleted after SEVEN+ years... leaves me to wonder what else Aperion got wrong.

Hello, I have my sub Adam 10 "MK2 And ADAM S2V couple in my homestudy, the fact is that I have it in the center between my two monitors, under my desk, if I leave it with the 0 ° phase and with sonarworks, the graph gives me a + -3db waveform up and down, between 100 Hz and 28 Hz. And if I change it to phase 180 °, I have a +6 dbs rise in the graph, from 80 Hz at 28 Hz. No waveform, all this measured in the whole room The question is that with phase at 0 °, as the graph says, At ear, I perceive less serious, and with the phase at 180 ° I perceive more serious. My question is, which of the two configurations do you think would be in the correct phase? I'm lost.

Is it a requirement to run a sub and external speakers like some polk t50's through a receiver? Can they run by simply hooking them up to a TV or no?
@AperionAudioSpeakers8 жыл бұрын
You'll want to hook all of your speakers up through a receiver. Most TV's only have RCA audio pre-out. These pre-outs are not powered so if you're using passive speakers you'll need them to hook up to an amp of some sort. Most subwoofers have an on-board amp which is why you typically would hook that up to the pre-out of the receiver.

It depends on the range of your front speakers. For the most part 80 Hz is a good starting point. If you have large tower speakers in front that can reach down to around 50 Hz, then you can probably set your sub to 60 Hz. If you're using bookshelves and they only go to maybe 90 Hz, then you can set your sub to 100 Hz. It's all relative to your speakers specs and whether or not it sounds nice to your ears or not.

Thanks for the video. Can you help me on how to connect a sub-woofer in a stereo set-up for best music experience considering the source is laptop (windows 7 based playingFLAC files) + DAC (NAD D1050) + Stereo Amplifier (Marantz PM 8003) + Tower speakers (Wharfedale Diamond 10.5) + Sub-woofer (Wharfedale SW150 without LFE ).

+Michael Harvey Hi, you seem familuar with speakers since I can see that from your previous, if what he said was true, I'll need a splitter for this speaker, right? Because it doesn't have the LFE option, www.amazon.co.uk/Klipsch-1060929-R-10SW-Subwoofer/dp/B00MGILY9A/ref=sr_1_107?ie=UTF8&qid=1453642576&sr=8-107&keywords=subwoofer Also, How would I use a set of speakers with this? I have a pair with the red and white cables and my current speaker set goes like this: The two speakers each have a red and white cable, the red and white cable goes into the subwoofer, and the other speaker also goes into the subwoofer. then the power from the subwoofer goes to a socket, giving it power, and the final cable (a green one) can connect to anything from a PC to a TABLET where I can play music from. I believe the red and whites are called RCA cables but I don't want to sound like I know everything, because in all honesty, I clearly don't xD

+LethalCheese It sounds like you are intending on using your set up for primarily stereo listening whether that be for music or tv/movies. In this case you will need an amp to power your two speakers as the left and right, and would also have a sub woofer output that the RCA would connect to and also connect to the sub woofer. For this type of listening (stereo) or 2.1 I think you would be best served to use the RCA Y cable to allow for a better balanced low level output when switching from tv to music. More importantly this will also give you control of the klipsch sub you have as it has a built in crossover. Not all subs have this, which can be a draw back when your amp is not equipped with it. Your other option is a pair of powered speakers that have a built in amp and sub woofer output. Here is a pair that would match up to your sub well in my opinion. www.soundstagedirect.com/klipsch-r-15pm-monitor-speakers-audio-equipment.shtml?gclid=Cj0KEQiArJe1BRDe_uz1uu-QjvYBEiQACUj6oqlMAJ4QlgQr7Edv0ghkI0piH7fuQ01dCi6URCgbJK4aAnVH8P8HAQ You would be able to connect you PC/tablet/phone/tv/bluray to them no problem. I hope I was able to help.

+Michael Harvey So, I can just get a set of these that will work with the sub aswell? Well, these speakers seem perfect as long as they go with the sub, only problem is, I'm considering ordering the speakers of amazon, and I cant find this exact pair, but what I have found are these www.amazon.co.uk/Klipsch-1060675-R-15M-Monitor-PAIR/dp/B00LMF41IY/ref=pd_sim_sbs_23_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=41DQ29IfJML&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR110%2C160_&refRID=19R9C4R6EF1S8FAE33K4 I tend to ONLY listen to music, I enjoy a lot of bass, but my current setup is a pair of Trust GXT 38's along with the 120w subwoofer. I got it for a deal but I feel like I need more xD
