I would not say friend. Tom loves having someone like gregg to control ( back in season 1 I think, there was a scene where Tom turns some intern into a human chair and rests his feet on his back . So tom is into that type of powerplay) . Even in the finale when any other sane person would kick Gregg out for his betrayal, Tom decides to keep him . Why ? Because CEO Tom gets to completely dominate Greg now.

I mean, their research into media families actually led to the families getting mad. I love media with that verisimilitude. In any case, I’m not hot and bothered if something is woke because even if it is, as long as the story is good and true who cares. I do think there certainly is woke media that feels phony like Kim’s Convenience but also I really love Abbott Elementary because it is funny without being forceful with its diversity. I mean school teachers look like that.

Mmmm, not quite I don't think. It's true that from the start he was certainly more committed to the relationship, but he and Shiv have a candid conversation later on and he says that for as long as he's been a career man, he knew that he loved money more than anything else, and that he knew that fact may one day cause a schism in his marriage. By no means was he the only one at fault but this wasn't the story of a man who was tragically cheated on, it's the story of a spineless suit being cheated on and taking it out on his underling.
