Fondant isn’t that difficult. The more you work with it the easier it gets and will build your confidence. I started caking 10 years ago. Learned a tremendous amount from many KZbinrs. Liz is one of them. Check out “Crumbs & Doilies”. They also have tutorials on covering cakes with fondant. Be brave and don’t forget we always can learn from our mishaps too. Have fun with fondant!!

My family and I don’t like fondant, due to the taste, texture but I used it on Birthday cake. I believe we are going to like your brand and the taste will be even better. I just started doing cakes at home it was something I wanted to do for years was to frost a cake. Your brand I feel will be good for me to get it thinner than any other brand.

This looks amazing! Will it tear if you want it a little thicker ? For dummy cakes I don't like the texture of the Styrofoam showing - but the edges are tricky to prevent tearing with other fondant.

I made a wedding cake from your fluffy cloud cake recipe with your marshmallow fondant and it came out brilliantly! I didn't have to worry about any of that so I was able to concentrate on the design. Everyone was SO impressed with how good the cake tasted when it was so stylized into a castle. THANK YOU! How does it hold up with figures/animals?

You shouldn't use fondant for figures, it usually doesn't harden fully unless you use a lot of cmc or tylose. Which is basically what gumpaste is. May as well save yourself the kneading & buy gumpaste. Modeling chocolate is also great for figures, it has a similar consistency to soft clay! Liz has a recipie on her website

@@Gmeoww yes but are any of them egg free. I have egg free (highly allergic) clients and so I have to make sure I don’t have egg what so ever. I have made nice figures with homemade marshmallow fondant before.

May I suggest, based on experience, that you get a counter or table several inches lower than you are now using. Its so much easier to roll fondant or pie crust out on.
