I discovered Moringa more than 7 years ago after a severe stroke related to type 2 diabetes. After a year of drugs (12 in all) I got fed up I was looking for a better way to heal my body and started digging for info. Found Moringa and started to take large quantities (up to 90 capsules per day). Fired 3 doctors, changed my diet to mainly eggs and some fish, veggies, & some fruits. I do exercise by walking for at least 1 mile as fast as I can. 6 years later, doing fine at almost 68 yrs of age and stopped using all drugs and will NEVER use drugs again. Rarely get sick, had Covid for 2 days, and that's the only time I had anything. I don't get colds anymore, which for me is amazing. Of course, I have added many other supplements, but Moringa is by far #1 in my book for a healthy body.

@@blakelee5851 YES, they grow in Corpus Christi! You might get 3 to 5 whole-tree harvests a year, if you raze them at ground level, or continuously if just taking off half or fewer leaves at a time. They survive down to 29° F, but mulch very very heavily to prevent roots from freezing below that temperature. I use bales of hay or straw, over top 2 or 3 layers of cardboard, on both sides of the trunk. In the very early Spring they bounce back like a miracle. Go for it!

I recently started taking moringa. I'm an 82 YOF. Guess what - my FASTING glucose before was 146, my NON fasting glucose after one week on it was 97. I was on no medications for my blood sugar before I started moringa but every time my BG was drawn it was over 140 for the last few years. My BP before moringa was 140/90 on 2 BP pills, and after starting moringa it went to 90/61. I stopped one BP pill and it is now 113/69. may need to discontinue the med entirely if BP keeps falling. It hasn't made my arthritis disappear (after 2 weeks on it) but I do have more energy and less pain and have started doing more work around the house. I would see all that needed to be done, get overwhelmed just thinking about it. Now I'm actually just getting up and doing what needs to be done. NSAID's have never done that for me. It may not work for everyone, but if it does work, it works very well. And - there are absolutely no side effects in my case. I take two 1000 mg capsules of a 10:1 concentration each day, one in the a.m. and one in the p.m. UPDATE: I am completely off BP meds a week later with a BP of around 120/70 or 115/65. Seem to be sleeping better and having more dreams. My GERD is improving. I can't wait until my next blood work to check on cholesterol levels. This moringa is the first stuff that has ever done a thing for me.

For those in colder climates that want to grow Moringa, consider a tall, narrow wheeled trash container. Fill only the center column with soil, save empty pop or water bottles to provide bulk around the outside and reduce overall weight, as Moringa has a tap root. That way you can extend your growing season by bringing it inside for cooler spells, and move it around outside to get optimum sunlight for whatever stage of growth it is in. I’ve considered building modular panels for a front and two triangular sides of a lean-to greenhouse against the south facing brick wall of my house to try to extend season long enough to get mature seeds. Otherwise, you would need to bring in cuttings and set them out in spring or plant new seeds yearly. Seed viability is pretty short, so you’d need a yearly source for seed. Some folks can shield against a brief mild cold snap by chopping trunk at 3ft, wrapping with a cylinder from a section of wire fencing, stuffing with straw and covering securely with black drum liner bag or tarp. Hope this encourages some to try again! Cheers!

I have been eating moringa as "cuisson à l'étouffé" and soup that we say "bouillon" since I was very little. In Mauritius, it is the most typical way of cooking it and we eat it with rice, more veggies and an animal protein. It is one of the staple of Mauritian Cuisine and very easy and quick to cook. We have had the trees for ages since back in the 50s. When most of the we don't want to eat heavt food this is our go to menu. Now I know why most of us in my family do not suffer from diabetes, blood pressure and other of the comorbidities related to it.

I found the SugarMD KZbin Channel and immediately Subscribed as he is an expert and is giving us diabetics all of these great tips! ( I was in the Medical Field myself for almost 50 years as well.) I saw this particular video about Moringa and ordered some. My most recent FBS (Fasting Blood Sugar) was 20 points lower after only one month of Moringa Capsules! And I just found out that Moringa is a super supplement for lowering a High Uric Acid! As a matter of fact it is the best natural thing ever for lowering High Uric Acid levels. So Thank You once again Dr. Sugar!! 😊😊😊😎👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️ (Rob Allen in Thailand)

Thank you. You answered my question in reference to how much Moringa I should take daily. I am a type 2 diabetic. I used to weigh about 208, now I weigh 160. I am on no meds for diabetes, and A1c was 6.8, but I believe the elevated A1c is due to my glucose being 128. The Moringa might help this problem along with my healthy diet. I will try it for 2 week and let you know how I did after my next tests. Thank you for helping me and many other diabetics. Stay safe.

May I ask which Moringa you will order? I was recommended to go for Pura Vida Moringa, but they are out of stock.

Thank you for this overview! I Just got dwarf moringa seeds (from Baker Creek) and am soaking them, then will plant i a sprouting tray. In on zone 8b, so will likely have in a large pot i can move into my little greenhouse. I've been using OG moringa powder for awhile, and do include it in herbal tea. It's one of the 70 plants featured in the new book Edible, sustainable plants for the future (Kevin Hobbs and Artur Cisar-Erlach, illustrated by my friend Katie Kulla)

Thank you. I grow four moringa trees in zone 9a and finally they are flowering at year number 2 and hope to see the fruit/drum sticks before temps get cold. Great video.

@@SugarMDs Can a person that had blood clots in the pass, take moringa? No longer on thinners. Started because of heat and dehydration, plus being diabetic. Doctor said that I didn't have the type of blood to have blood clots and thought unusual, until I told her about no air conditioning, not replacing the amount of water I was loosing. Also, loss of electrolytes.

Same here. I had 2 marungai trees and a huge Hayden mango tree in Hawaii. Need to moderate the mango intake bc it's super sweet. Also have 2 kalamansi trees.

We in India use the Moringa leaves in our food quite a lot. And the Moringa vegetable is called drumstick in India. Very common south Indian food.
