As I mentioned in this video I've owned this guitar for just over three years now and it's honestly been one of my favorite guitars I've ever owned. In this video I break down the specs of the guitar, show you some tonez, and then from there give you my overall thoughts and opinions.

I have it in white colour, alder body, but with stock Thornbucker PUs: great playability and very clear sounding pickups! I really like it!!

Do you think the alder body plays a big difference tonally? I typically tend to prefer Alder bodies but enjoy the brightness on this guitar with the swamp ash!

@@ZachBrobstMusic I have a CS strat with ash body and rosewood board and sounds warm and woody. I think the major role has the fretboard material. Cheers!

Hi Zach, thanks for the review. It sounds awsome. How would you describe the neck? I really like the guitar and I am thinking in getting one but I have small hands and I don't like big or chunky necks. I read actual models come with mid 60's vintage medium...what are your thoughts about the neck? Thanks!!

Hey Telemaco! This neck has been my absolute favorite neck that I've ever played. This is actually a huge reason why I'm such a big fan of Suhr guitars. Their necks are perfect for my hands. Normally equipped with a nice compound radius, PLEK'd frets, etc. they just feel "homey" to my hands. I have decent size hands and it's more of a Modern C type neck. Kind of a C up to a D type feel as you move up the fretboard.

hi Zach. i much appreciate and enjoy your videos!. i am updating my james tyler strat that i use mostly for church and some home gig. trying to choose between Thornbucker and Crema. Any advice on choosing between the two ? i saw your comp video... i am mostly acoustic guitar guy, a few times a year, i play elec. thanks much

Hey Dae! I think the Thornbuckers are really special but the Cremas have a perfect place in the worship realm. If you want something thats a bit more versatile I would recommend the Thornbuckers!

Great review. Love my Pete Thorn model. Looking at the JM and Alt pro. What are your thoughts on this compared to the JM?

Hey Jay! I think the JM is incredible and plays like an absolute dream. I even find the body shape to be more comfortable. However, I think the Alt T is more of a versatile guitar given the 5 way switch! Plus I like the Thornbucker pickups more than the SSV's that came in the JM.

Wait I thought with the SSCII you are not supposed to get the 60 cycle hum?

Hey Christian! I believe Suhr only installs the SCII system on single coil based guitars (Strats, P90s, Teles, etc).

@@ZachBrobstMusic Actually, how much hum would you say this guitar makes on its single coil mode? I'm thinking of getting this guitar and the single coil neck sound is quite important for me

@@christiansakai I'd say it's a decent amount. If I had this and a Strat next to eachother in that 4th position I honestly wouldn't know which was which based off of the hum. I'd bet Suhr could custom make something where that 2nd and 4th position were silent if that means a lot to you! Obviously it would cost a lot more. OR you can just simple buy this guitar and desolder the 2nd and 4th positions.
