Rocky George is the unsung lead guitar hero and the King of Artificial Harmonics (screaming effect). He knows where to put them in his solos. It's a very hard technique though. I'm 39 and I'm still trying to hone it.

Great call! George squeezes something I can only call emotion on every one of his solos. I still gotta Google what he did after S.T. I thought he played in a band called White Devil with someone from Cro-Mags.

Good times of lonelyness... I steel saying that 1991,92,93 and 94 it´s the years was creat the most best songs of best bands Right? Remember this years of Suicidal Tendencies... Pantera... Metallica (well, in this case, 1985 to 1990 only! hehe)... Sepultura... Helmet... Fear Factory... Obituary... Machine Head... Body Count... Kreator... Paradise Lost... and others. Let´s keep it´s alive!!!!! HellYeah!!

@JohnSmith-rk6jy2 жыл бұрын
@@AV9000x This song isn't on 'The Art of..' It's on Suicidal for Life. And that album was The Worst pile of shit I've ever heard. Sooo bad that it was The last ST album I bought or listened to. Maaasive disappointment after 'The Art of...'. I mean they tried to remake their early stuff with 'Still Cyco...' and failed miserably. But this album was the final nail for me. Vomit. Disgrace. The only weak point on 'The Art of' was Mike's weak vocals. The rest of the band fucking peaked on that one musically for sure.

How can you love someone If you think that you're no one When you mistreat yourself, and think it's all you deserve Cause it's so hard to care Is this or is it loneliness? How can you demand respect - when you have no respect? When you abuse your body, never mind your mind And you're your own worst victim There'll be no love just loneliness Why do you force a smile - when you know all the while That you're burning inside, but don't want no one to know The hell that you're in As love turns to loneliness How can you sleep at night? When you know it's not alright When you wake up in the morning, nothin' has changed If you do nothin' about it Love becomes loneliness Love vs loneliness, love vs loneliness And when you're down and you think you need something The temptations so hard to resist But what you grab sure ain't what you needed That's not love it's loneliness And when you're lonely and think you need someone The plot a painful twist There ain't no one that can make you feel like someone Only you can cure loneliness How can you be confident when you're all wrong with it When you know what you're doing and you're doing it wrong It's no misunderstanding This ain't love this is loneliness How can you love someone - if you think that you're no one?

@gowild00682 жыл бұрын
@@gogoyubari366 This album didn't receive critical acclaim like their previous works which I don't get. "Suicidal For Life" had the best lineup of ST and every song on their was tight especially "Love. Vs Loneliness". It's underrated cause it's so damn good and yet they haven't played it live which they need to the song is great especially the emotional guitar solo attributed by Rocky.
@MrSuicidal6910 ай бұрын
@@gowild0068 You could easily argue that the lineup with Louiche Mayorga on bass was their best, a more raw hardcore sound veering into Crossover by the late eighties with Join The Army.

I agree with @gogoyubari366 , I´m from Spain, Madrid, I run to the stores when "Suicidal for Life" came out to Madrid city center to buy it. Everybody was talking about it. I was working in a pizza restaurant and everybody was asking me to lend them the cassette to copy it. The next year I was living in England and I bought "Suicidal for Life"&"How will I laugh tomorrow when I can even smile today?" and the rest I just stole them because I was a poor girl without job yet in the streets of Birmingham but I needed everything from Suicidal Tendencies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I know it's hard to understand to someone who's in his teens, or even twenties, but Rob is nearly 50, he gets to earn millions, travel around the world in 5 star hotels, and all that for playing with a band that he genuinely likes. At his age (I imagine) you start thinking about your retirement and kids and all that. So it was a no brainer to accept the offer from Metallica. Having said all that, I'd prefer to see him playing with ST too :)

¿Cómo puedes amar a alguien?

Hello Mr. Muir, I don't know if you will ever see this, but, THANK YOU. God used your music to reach me and save my life. A few months ago I almost pulled the plug. Satan tricked me with a setlist riding my emotions. Your lyrics are deep beyond worldly credit. Right at the moment of truth, I called to Jesus. He added one song to the mental set list, the encore as he touched me on the shoulder was " You can't bring me down!" . The emotions, thoughts, depth and meaning are timeless. THANK YOU
