Very cool ride. You might want to come up with a clam-on brace that goes between the bike frames from just under the seat stem to keep the rear of the bikes centered on the rails.
@sgdeluxedoc17 күн бұрын
I was thinking about something like that too, after noticing how uncentered the right bike's wheel was, myself. Never came up with a solution, however, since you want to avoid anything that's going to add more friction. Perhaps an adjustment bolt that can reset the center of the wheel that needs centering?

The line of lights you saw ~9:30 was probably a starlink group. When they "disappeared," they likely went into the earth's shadow and stopped reflecting sunlight - orbital mechanics work out that near dusk, satellites are often still visible. if you're in northern canada, you're right over the flight path of starlink groups from all the major US launch sites, and they all go on polar orbits that would be easily visible in your low light pollution wilderness.

Lashing it to the rear axles might work (seat would hit legs) but it would make for a rougher ride. I'd look at the possibility of an idler wheel extending to the outer side of the rail, mounted somewhere on the rear subframe. It'll stop the inward slide and still keep the rear of the 2 bikes independent. Crazy adventure, thanks for the vid!...scrub that, some sections have wooden footprints close to the track

I'm passably familiar with bikes, tire pressures, and tires staying on a slightly round surface like a rock versus kicking sideways.
