A cardio+stretches/joint warm-up is a super healthy and underappreciated routine. I feel like most youtube athletes ignore it, because it is not sexy. Props to you for stressing the prep part!

Yes! I couldn't agree more. It is harder to get views that way as the vast majority just want to get to the strength stuff asap. I appreciate your support!

Gods you're strong! Great workout, I actually do a similar workout on my push days but the one arm scapula push ups are new to me. I'll also try to incorporate the bridge at the end of my routine.

Wow so many great tips here, like warming up just for 3 to five minutes, going to try that. For some reason it was told to me warm ups are 15-30 and that already felt like the work out. Truly I think we are taught or think tiring ourselves out is getting the benefits where its really take it slow first like comfortably enough like the jogging pace idea where you should be able to hold a steady conversation. Really inspired by your channel I just got out of the hospital for several years and need to build basic muscle back but I think calisthenics seems like it makes more sense. You also inspired me to get a portable chin-up bar. Hehe not doing anything too intense yet. But getting everything you need and starting is the key. Also paying attention to your vitamins you take in one of your Q and A videos. Keep up the good work your an inspiration to all of us trying to get back into it after 40. Much love toronto.

Usally it's better to leave core/ abs excercises for the end of the routine. it's more efficient they say.
@Summerfunfitness2 жыл бұрын
That’s old school info for weight lifters - it was the old standard to leave abs (not core) till the end. However, we are using our core in this workout and would benefit from turning it on/priming it for muscular recruitment Like any muscle group it benefits from being engaged prior to working it out heavy. The same way you’d do light squats before doing very heavy squats. Having just five minutes to wake up your core will not decrease overall performance, rather improve it. Test it for yourself to draw your final conclusion. I’d suspect you’d run into some core cramps during the tucked planche

Btw, After folding myself completely in half for several hundred years In addition to gymnastics, I now have a rod in my back. It hurts when I don't move. Any advice for slowly warming that up and getting some muscles back? I wonder if it's possible to do a human flag without arching my back at all?

I thought stretching right after a work out is not considered a good thing anymore. Better stretch when completely cold…
