I think it's all the goofy practical effect (no CGI) that makes horror movies from the 80s/90s so endearing. They look semi-realistic but still 'fake' enough to be considered silly fun time. Then gore/violence becomes so true to life you kind of have to be able to stomach it to watch. 🤭 And Chadwick Boseman 😔

Just finished My Best Friends Exorcism by Grady Hendrix. Omg! I love this freaking book SO DAMN HARD! All the 80's nostalgia! It was binge worthy and such a fun read! I had a blast with this book. Thanks for the recommendation Gabby! Love your channel!!

The death of Chadwick Boseman was literally so sad. It really affected me for a couple of days and even now :( I want to read Clown in a Cornfield so bad! It seems like the perfect creepy slasher which is exactly what I need in my life. I especially want to read it now that you talk about how the real fear is the older generation not wanting to change because I think that is so prevalent right now. I recently just binged all of Mindhunter and it was so freaking good! I also LOVE the music you used in this video! It is so good and creepy and perfect for the vlog

Now that you've seen "A Nightmare on Elm Street" I highly recommend the 3rd one "Dream Warriors" as it's my favorite of the series. You can honestly skip the 2nd one since it doesn't play into the first or third.

Omg Gabby please read Kill Creek. I read it and altho its long it is so well written and the plot is fast paced. I read 4 books for summerween, completed all the prompts and Kill Creek was such an easy 5 stars. I dont wanna hype you too much but Holyshit that book is creepy and a true horror. Dare I say I loved it way more than Home before dark... Okay no more hyping. Hope you do summerween every year. *insert heart emoji*
