I have a 3 headed frag so this video gave me an idea of how I can feed them without over feeding my tank. Thank you for this video.

very time consuming coral, I've had 2 of them and I used the cut down plastic bottle method of feeding, I ended up with way too much excess food in my tank, good video and advice 👍

Very cool coral! Its to bad you have to get rid of it. I think its funny that some of the corals that can live in complete darkness are some of the prettiest.

Inappropriate Reefer I have a sun coral, huge discount on a pretty large rock full of these coral. Guy didn't understand the NPS aspect even after I explained it. these guys grow in dark caves where nutrients are dense and flow through in the ocean. I didn't care much for mine at first but the care is not as difficult as you may think. once you feed, it'll open like crazy. even after I put in a couple pellets to feed the fish when I'm being lazy it gets a sense of the food and opens. neat coral.

According to tidal gardens, you would probably have fed it too little

Mines is open all day. I just put it under a rock shade so it won’t get to much light.

Mine used to be trained to do that during the day as well. I've got a new colony in my new tank (I've been out of the hobby for about 10 years) and just found out they are attached to a live oyster. Total score since they require a lot of feeding. I never fed my original colony 3 times a day like some of these sites say and they were propagating in my tank. I think I fed them once a day...or even a few times a week.

i just got one. does it need to be in constant shade or can it be where it isn't getting direct light on ot
@InappropriateReefer7 жыл бұрын
+TheCjclaflin1 Technically it does not need to be in constant shade, but people like to put them in shade to discourage algae growth on the coral 👍
