During the first video this is exactly what I was thinking had to happen with the seed production. I think the business he signed with is doing the right thing for sure. We would love it if the seed company that Steve is working with is one of the few who ship internationally. Yup, wisteria is very aggressive & practically invasive here in zone 9b... 3 feet of growth per week from mid April all the way through fall. Our next door neighbor has one that grew from a squirrel spread seed & I have to hack it back all along the fence line all summer. This year I will finally eradicate the wisteria that has been attempting to overtake our porch & garage. They are beautiful but not suited to our suburban lot. They bloom on old wood so you sacrifice a lot (if not all) of the blooms when pruning to control size ☹️ Looking forward to Sunflower Steve's seeds being available next year 🌻 Dahlias 😍 a couple of my tubers rotted but several sprouted & we've got 3 varieties to grow from seed. Those varieties you got are stunning, adding several to my wish list.

My grandparents lived up a path from our house, the entire woods was covered with Wisteria, I'd walk thru there just breathe in all that wonderful scent. As much as I've always LOVED Dahlias this is my first yr growing the tubers, anyone out there know just how cold they can take it.

I am in New York, lower Hudson Valley. We have frost predicted for May 1st and 2nd. Really hoping we don't get a repeat of last year. I typically do most of my planting Mothers Day weekend on that week. Every time I do it earlier I get burned. I do put perinneals in earlier but never annuals.

Wisteria smells amazing. I remember a vine growing on a chain link fence I passed on my way home from work. They tore everything out for a dollar store :(. Love the pin on your hat!

I love your videos. So inspiring. If Costco is near you they have a bunch of great long field gardens products to buy for such great prices! Bulbs and tubers. I potted up a dahlia tuber that I have by a sunny window. When I planted it I showed a nice eye swelling up. How long do you think it will take for it to sprout? It’ll be a week on Thursday. Ah! It was Erin who introduced me to Brushwood nursery and I ordered a couple clematis plants to arrive in June...because I know I'll need the extra time. I have Crystal Fountain. The Minneapolis suburb I live in is Crystal so I had to have it. Last year, I cut it back severely because it was misbehaving and I needed to control it better. Come to think of it, I don't remember if it bloomed last season. I better get some blooms this time. My David Austin BR roses are set to arrive in a month. I'm excited and nervous.
