Just had mine running 100% smooth with all the metal upgrades after tinkering for like 5 days, then suddenly a clicking noise is coming from the rear axles during load, I give up lol.

How do you get the shocks to not rub the tire at that angle? I'm having a problem with that right now. Thanks man, great video!

Yes i discussed this in either this video or the next one. I had to put 5-12 mm adapters which spaced out some wheels that I have. With offset rims

Since you have metal links the easiest way to is the angle on your axles. Is just too make the top Lynx a little longer and it will change the angle of your axle making it more straight into the drive shaft.

lol yup, curious here too. kinda think ECX Doomsday trans with 390 motor might have been a much easier unit to fit in the frame rails... oh well! just plunked down comment about what I've slapped into my C-24, it's not a fast setup, but strong climbing.

This is going to be a recommendation I recommend the demon sr4 a the cheap one you're going to love this build I just bought this truck it's better than the expensive one cuz the battery lies in the middle and the part of the honcho back looks better than the expensive one and it's not top heavy $269 you have a controller you have ESC controller and Battery that's all you need and I have done some upgrades if you get it you're going to see what I mean upgrades I've done front bumper and lights in the top fantastic truck you get this truck you'll be thanking me anybody that gets this truck will be thanking me

at this point, look to the MN-D90 recently released. barely larger but has larger axle casings with larger bevel gears in them, larger drive shafts and U-joints. "a285004" hydraulic shocks look to be a pretty good fit for it (seen on Gabriel Silvaz channel) with very simple to make extension plates.

Stick with 1-10 scale man,so u don’t have to do all this crazy shit,I mean it’s all cool,but 1-10 scale will fit a semi truck motor 1-14 scale,any basher vehicle and any crawler...great work .
@supastihl895 жыл бұрын
Thanks man i would love to. However 10th scale typically is out of my budget unfortunately. I have been doing these vids in reality due to my price range being so low. I have a house car payments and a family so 200 to 400 on an RC is out of the question as of now. But hey im finally making money from my youtube so hopefully i can invest back into it. definite "Captain Insano" power there, Tim Allen would approve! I'm pretty happy with a pair of these things: www.ebay.com/itm/16MM-DC-5V-12V-Mini-Full-Metal-Gearbox-Gear-Motor-Speed-Reduction-DIY-Robot-Car/323222217245?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=512295756103&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 the 12v 855 rpm works out to be 790-ish on 3S and 530-ish on 2S, was a breeze making the center casing for them, and cheepo 20A ESC is plenty. 2S gives a decent walking pace, plenty of torque, they hold position on really steep inclines too. makes the WPL dual N30 setup look slap silly weak (hey WPL take note!). haven't done it yet, but Gabriel Silvaz has sliced the hood to open for battery placement right up front with easy access. rim weight? wrapped them tight with 2mm solder between the tire beads, 3 wraps stretched electrical tape cut a little wider (narrows as it's stretched), with a spot of CA at the end to keep the e-tape locked compressing the solder to the rims. it's not a fast setup but does climb really well.

Everyone I come in contact with these WPL trucks. Even in this video, the guy has the shocks up side down. But I did not mention that. Oil shocks the oil chamber attaches at the bottom on the axel for a few reasons. 1) Oil wont leak out from the piston rod's seal because it will be pointing upwards, 2) installing the oil shocks up side down yields clearance for the shocks to collapse and rebound without the oil chamber binding on the chassis. You should be able to compress both shocks installed and the chassis should rebound. In this video the shocks oil chambers bind on the chassis thus the rebound does not happen and the chassis get stuck, LOL. Like I stated a total waste of my time.
@supastihl895 жыл бұрын
@@KB-zq9ck bro you're a serious jackass who thinks he knows it all and is clearly a waste of time. J put the shocks the way the come on many many 100s of rcs so kiss my ass for one. For 2 installed them the way i wanted for clearance to turn my big tires you clearly don't have a handle on MY truck because i have every shock spaced from the chassis. It doesn't bind at all thanks. The shocks dont act naturally because its so light and the coils are too strong. So whos wasting whos time. Dont watch 1 video ASSume you know MY truck. Wtf
