This accent wall turned out amazing! I think offices and powder rooms are the perfect rooms to update like this...they're small, so they're easy and inexpensive, but they add so much impact. And then they're easy to change if you want something different.

Great Idea Starting from the top down. If you didn't frame the wall you never know if it is square. If you have lasers kicking around you can check that and also level your first row. The walls looks great guys, you two are too funny.

@@KristinaSmallhorn We actually did that on our headboard a few years ago. We bought new boards, banged them all up with hammers and torched them, stained and painted them to make them look distressed, and then made a headboard that looked like a barn door. It was really cool! All the boards were the same color though. I would totally do this on my wall!

What you could do, before mounting the planks on the wall , even before painting them - is to level them evenly to each other. That would cause the finall effect to be eaven greater looking.

I like to know before I do this to a wall I want to cover did they expand or shrink after a while! Meaning the boards on the wall just need to know you didn't get gaps between the boards because or shrinkage or that they didn't expand!
