The look of the beta is interesting, the background is 2D, but the characters are totally 3D. Which is the total opposite of what is generally common. Interesting to see it in motion!

I remember a few years ago I was super into the beta of this game, saw a video on some Japanese video sharing site where they actually played as bowser. That's when I knew I needed to get my hands on a beta build. Hopefully the real thing leaks eventually.

If you aren't lying I should tell you that what you are referring to is lost footage from the very first 2004 version which was shown in public. We only know of its existence because of a 2004 review

God this mod looks accurate to all those old videos that predate the older builds of the game. My favorite touch on this tho have got to be the hat physics remade for the mod. I'd be down to play it if it ever gets a release!
