Wart is a king of nightmares who takes it over. manual states that Mario at first thought it was a weird dream, then find out its real, by finding out that Peach, Luigi and Toad had it too. then going back to dreamworld to save it from Wart's rule. just makes me think of kirby, that the Star Rod gives everyone dreams on Popstar. In the Mushroom Kingdom its Subcon that gives everyone dreams instead.
