Not to be that guy, but this is just the scene in Mario bros the legendary warrior where Mario is slammed to the ground. Only difference is that it’s sprites instead of hand drawn. Complete with Mario’s pupils disappearing when he gets slammed on his chest.

I actually never thought someone would use DBD sound effects outside of the game for anything, much more a sprite animation. The Jigsaw Box fail for Bowser Jr.’s toys, Oni’s growl for Bowser’s Oni form (yeah I caught that). Can’t wait to see what the rest of this series has in store!

At least the KZbin algorithm worked well, this was in my recommendations for one week straight, and that's why I ended up seeing this and I'm already loving this! I saw SMBGT first and I was confused with this because the story was almost the same, then I realized you also made that one lol. I liked this chapter so much! I was terrified because it seemed to end everytime, but I'm glad it didn't! The animation is so sick and you are doing a pretty good story, keep it up, dude! Take all the time you need!
