So a couple things: You don't have to buy any of the previous items from the Toad in Moleville. He will still offer you the chance to buy the metal plate after beating the Axem Rangers. Also, in the new game, Mallow, Bowser and Geno all get even better weapons in the postgame. Mallow gets the Sage Stick after the first postgame battle with Belome, Bowser gets the Wonder Chomp after the postgame battle with Punchinello, and Geno gets the Stella 023 after the postgame battle with the Booster.

I was about to write that. The video show the last weapon of the story mode, but Mallow, Geno and Bowser have new weapon in post game.

@@Maxssx3 Which feels extremely deliberate in a really good way as nowadays a lot of RPGs tend to have special true ultimate weapons for particular if not all of the characters that surpass their initial ultimate weapons that they get in the main story and the fact that most RPG enthusiasts myself included do like super bosses so giving us a some alongside some true ultimate weapons is just awesome for us. Now only if Square Enix were to give us the post game content we got in the advance versions of the Final Fantasy games but for the Pixel remaster versions

Or you can progressively buy each item that he has as the frying pan won't be available until the near end of the game which in itself makes sense as that is Peach's ultimate weapon

@@SigmaGod1217 They're irrelevant. You will only get them if you care about the post game content, and it's impossible to miss them if you do. You don't need a guide to tell you "defeat one of the seven optional encounters to get better ultimate weapons." If I'm looking for a guide on ultimate weapons, I wanna be shown the ones I have to put work into finding.

WARNING: Mallow’s healing is tied to his Magic Attack Stat so using the Lazy Shell on him makes him useless. If you want to use the Lazy Shell armor, use it one Peach; her heals cure status, she can heal the entire active party at once, she can revive party members, etc. with the Lazy Shell she basically becomes an unkillable goddess that can hard carry you to the end of the game.

The Peach in Lazy Shell strat is what I use. Get her the Star Egg from Grate Guy’s Casino and she can’t be killed and can do 100 damage to all enemies in battle any time you don’t need her to heal the party.

Beezo is their original name from Mario 2. It was the original Mario RPG that had changed the name.

Heh, so that's why Peach is seen constantly wielding a Frying Pan in Smash Bros. I didn't know this game was the source for that.

The original game dates back to 1996. It predates Smash itself. Also then, it was Nintendo and Squaresoft. Square Enix from Squaresoft and Enix merger was in April 2003.

@qty1315 the frying pan (in both games) is Peach's strongest weapon she can equip. Towards the end of the game, you can buy it in Moleville for 300 coins.

I completed both combat courses and I never got Genoa Weapon 😥 His is the only one I am missing? Please tell me I can rematch the trials or is there another way to get it?

That's directly what I did to get Geno's star gun and it did work as the weapon prizes you get every time are completely random and there are four weapon prizes in total to be collected(Drill claw for Bowser, Sonic cymbals for Mallow, Star gun for Geno, Super slap for peach and rock candy as a powerful prize for everyone all completely randomised)and the game only let's you do four of six doors giving you two weapon prizes than moves you forward after the fourth door is completed thus we are forced to do this six door puzzle system at least twice but hey it may slightly suck but in the end it is a relatively fun way to extend the length of the game as well as it incentivises us to come back to get all of the ultimate weapons, gives all of the characters even more levels to gain and only the puzzles I found difficult due to controls only but everything else I found pretty easy overall so their is a bit of compromise but gain most definitely outweighs the loss here by a long shot

Kind of sad that both Mario and Peach doesn't have those true ultimate weapons like Bowser, Geno including Mallow...

You didn't see them here with both the weaponized Lazy shell which only Mario can wield and the Frying pan which only Peach can wield as those surpass the initial ultimate weapons that both of them can wield with Mario's Ultra Hammer being in the factory in Smithy's dimension and Peach's super slap being gotten as a random prize after completing one of Smithy's challenges in Bowser's castle. I also find it kind of clever how they pull off the ultimate weapons in this regard that Peach's ultimate weapon can be totally passed over and forgotten overall if people don't check carefully while Mario's ultimate weapon is a two step puzzle both of which can always be returned to at anytime

Eh, the Lazy Shell is the most overpowered weapon in the game, even with the new ones. And if you equip Peach in the Lazy Shell, her attack isn't that strong regardless of what weapon she has. That's why I like to use the Star Egg when it's Peach's turn to battle. That's always my strategy to defeat Culex the first time: Peach in the Lazy Shell. Use the Star Egg to do 100 damage to Culex and all 4 crystals, and heal when necessary. Eventually, Culex and the crystals run out of FP, and then you revive Mario and your other party member and just attack until the battle ends.

Mallow makes the best use of the Super Suit due to his Magic Attack ally buff and higher initial Magic Attack. Bowser's Wonder Chomp has higher damage variance than Mario's Lazy Shell too which cements him as the most warrior-like of the party as well.

MFW when playing the original for the first time as a kid, and getting all the ultimate weapons at the 6 Doors on my first playthrough... only to realize on the next that they aren't a guaranteed reward.
