You don’t need good paint for this. That’s the best part! However you may find it easier to paint when you have some items like liquid clear and liquid white.

Thank you. I'm a true beginner so these tutorials are great. I've one question for everyone. I find i end up being a mud mixer with clouds. Too much sky colour?? Also is it better to ease out the paint a little for the layers and highlights?

We all start as mud mixers ha ha ha.... I have 4 videos that will be eye-openers for you on clouds. Binge them, then practice on a piece of canvas paper! Yes - but you would have to work in sections sense acrylic will dry a faster

In this one I am using the 1" but you could use the oval if you want since you mostly paint with the corner. Hope that helps and it is OK to ask questions ha ha ha

I didnt use any thinner but I do believe I used a little bit of LW mixed in with my highlight colors. This way they would stick a little more.

Is there a number 3 tutorial? If so which one. I did my first Bob Ross and it wasn't to bad. Tried it again and to make a long story short I went though 2 canvas (I am recycling them for later use). I love your tutorials and you make it seam so much easier for beginners. Thank you so much I was about ready to give up but I am to hard headed and bound determine to do this.

In my experience I find them a little easier for new paintings for a few reasons. The two biggest being it’s very forgiving if you make mistakes, and it’s easier to work in layers with the black contrast.

Curious? After the second group of trees so say “take a little bit of black and green and blue” we can’t see how you are loading your brush. Are you just dabbing on a bit of each or pulling those colors down and mixing them?

Colors dont matter as much ( as you can pick what ever color combo you want) BUT... Generally you work from lighter tones to darker tones to create contrast or depth. I hope that makes sense for ya.

@@WildCreates not really what I was asking….how are you getting the color combination on your brush. Just dabbing the brush in some of each then going straight to canvas actually pulling them down and mixing them before applying. Hope that more clear. LOL

Oh sorry. Whatever the color combo is... I grab a little bit of each color needed ( aka a little green, blue and black ) with a palette knife. Then mix those colors together on my mixing palette ( but I leave it a little marblely ) From there I dip my brush in approach the canvas and pull down the colors.
