I was watching Rodney Mullen talk about skateboarding and the way they name their moves. Moves that are impossible due to physics can be named and as a result folks who speak skateboarding can imagine the move being done without it being demonstrated. I wish grappling could do the same.

This is one of my most effective triangle set ups in the gi also as you can use your knee to push down there arm and grip. I time it so as soon as they release there grip on the knee side it's set up real quick.

Hey Brian, there's a new serie on netflix called physique 100% where korean athletes compete with each other in different challenges. From the second episode the challenge is 1 vs 1 wrestling with a ball, when the timer ends, the one with the ball in his hands wins. It's very interesting to see the different strategies the athletes come up with. It would be awesome if you could give your opinion on what the best strategy would be and even more awesome if you would try this challenge with your students if you have the time!

Brilliant video including scenarios if the partner doesn’t play ball. Too many triangle vids only show what to do if opponent puts free arm where they’re supposed to.
