Jam Session's recovery can be canceled by switching weapons and jumping. And Vergil CAN actually be knocked out of DT. If you do enough damage. That's why it's recommended to save DT for then, or use Quicksilver.

The thing about fortuna, It could be possible that the reason sparda was so worshipped there is that there is where he first fought off mundus, much like mallet Island With Dante because fortuna is actually on an island, complete with hell gates and everything. Interesting to see how that stuff affects a culture, also drawing parallels with how the castles denizens were worshipping mundus before shit the fan.

Oh god, the NOSTALGIA! Round 2 against Vergil ranks among my favorite fights in action games, period. It's no surprise that Vergil, even after his canon demise, is playable in some form in every game that has Devil May Cry characters. Heck, this fight is at it's best when you pull a Dante and just go wild. When you don't worry about trying to do a no damage run and take more risks, the fight feels a lot more intense and leads to some awesome split-second exchanges. So freaking fun!

The only games in the series to use bars for DT were DMC2 and DmC (And only Dante had a bar in DmC - Vergil had the usual pips.) Every other game had the pip setup, including DMC4 - which had pips styled to each character.
