Loving my H2650i on my CTSV2. Making 760 whp on e85 with the stock throttle body and intake tube/airbox on a stock block/heads/cam/balancer. This blower needs a much bigger throttle body, pulls 3 psi of vacuum between the stock 87mm throttle and the blower inlet on an 85mm pulley at 6500 rpm. Stepping up to a 103 next week and can't wait for the 112mm inlet upgrade from Harrop! Easiest install ever, looks stock if you don't know what to look at, runs lower inlet temps than the stock unit, and has 1000+ hp potential - what more can you ask for?

Hey! Would you mind sharing more details on your V2 setup? :) I'm weighing between a Kong and H2650i on my V2, and I was considering staying on stock heads/cam/cubes. Can't find a lot of examples of people keeping heads/cam/cubes stock with a 2650, but 760whp is incredibly impressive and well north of my goal of >700whp!

@@MiguelHernandez-hc8ui I'm currently at 840 whp on E85. Still stock internals on everything. 135k miles on the motor too. I have a NW 102mm TB, Kooks long tube headers, stock sedan mufflers, a 4.5" cold air intake and DW 1200cc injectors and dual 340 lph fuel pumps. Stock heat exchanger as well, but with an upgraded intercooler pump and reservoir. Peak boost is 18 psi at 6300 rpm, makes about 13 psi at 3000 rpm. Boost really climbs the last 500 rpm because of the stock cam. On 295mm Falken RT660 tires it spins third gear on the freeway. Would like to add Harrops new lid, but it won't fit on my CTSV without a new hood, which defeats my sleeper goals. Hope that helps.
@MiguelHernandez-hc8ui2 жыл бұрын
@@ChurchAutoTest fantastic, thank you so much!! I'm looking to have a near identical setup, already have BFE headers (only 1 7/8" primaries), small engine bay reservoir, 4.5" intake to ported LS7 throttle, likely going up to a NW 102 in the future, also on stock sedan mufflers myself. Funny you mention the Harrop lid because I was looking at that recently as well; if you don't mind one last question, are you on the stock lid or a ZL1 lid?

Can I ask, what's keeping the intake temps down? ....inter chiller? Water to methanol?
@ChurchAutoTest3 жыл бұрын
The 2650 is much more efficient as you turn the boost up vs. the stock 1900 unit. I would regularly see 140F post intercooler temps after a pass on a 90F day (stock heat exchanger, upgraded IC pump). With the 2650 I rarely exceed 120F and usually its a fair bit lower. The drawback is that the 2650 does not produce as much low end as the stock unit (using the same peak boost levels). But since these motors produce a ton of torque down low, that actually helps with traction in many instances. Making 650 lbs-ft at 2500 rpm instead of 700 with the stock blower really isn't noticeable unless you're lugging it in high gear.
@DazMilky3 жыл бұрын
@@ChurchAutoTest thanks for explaining that. I had a whipple 2.9 blower on my 4.08 cast iron engine with an inter chiller, and was still seeing intake temps over 140. Even my Harrop 2300 was WAY high....so have decided to ditch the superchargers and go turbo. And shame, cos I "love" blowers
@ChurchAutoTest3 жыл бұрын
@@DazMilky You're welcome. Turbos have the advantage (along with centri blowers) of being able to run large air-air heat exchangers. PD blowers area always limited by the size of the intercooler brick they can fit between the blower and engine. It's all about temp gain though. Ideally you want post-IC air to be no more than 20-30 F hotter than ambient regardless of compressor. With an interchiller it should be cooler than ambient, at least for short pull. We regularly see temps on stock 1900 blowers that are 20F below ambient for a 10 second pass with a chiller.
