I would suggest always cleaning your games before trying them. If they're dirty, even if they work, you're still dirtying your NES connector.

That Color a Dinosaur makes me miss the days when stores didn't understand how to look up prices online. in 2015, I drove an hour to a store that was advertising that they were stocking Surge Soda. They had 2 copies of Color a Dinosaur for $5 each. I bought one the first time I went in along with a bunch of other games that were very underpriced. I went back a few weeks later to get more Surge, and decided to pickup the second copy to trade to a friend for a game I wanted, and the owner made fun of me for buying a NES kids game. My next trip, he told me that he had pulled 3 more boxes of NES games out of the back for me to look at since I had bought so many the last 2 times I was in. I picked up quite a few more games that were almost all $5 each. I asked him if he had priced them, and he said that the price tags were from the 90's and he could mark them down for me if I wanted him to. I made a mistake in telling him I was fine paying the marked prices, and after I left he apparently looked online to see why I was fine paying what he thought were high prices. The next time I went, he basically accused me of stealing from him, and told me that his new policy is that he re-prices all games at the counter. Gotta love the old days.

I DARE you to seriously beat Wizardry, without save states or emulator tricks. It would be much better to beat it on the PC where there literally isn't saving at all, or to be more accurate, saving is always on, meaning when your party gets wiped out and left as corpses deep in the dungeon, that's saved immediately too and you get to build a NEW party! You can go retrieve your old party, but only if you're strong enough to get back to where they were. Oh, and you'll have to do it with empty spaces in your party if you want to lug their corpses back, oh, and there's like a 5% chance they'll actually get revived and it'll cost you a huge chunk of your gold to even try... Welcome to Wizardry! The first game is called "proving grounds" for a reason. Oh, at the end I see you didn't get the first game Knight of Diamonds is part 2, I think? I forget the titles of 2 and 3. Part two is even crazier than part 1 because on the PC versions you had to (HAD TO) import characters from the first game. So, when your guys die in part 2, guess what? You're going back to the PREVIOUS GAME to build characters up enough to export back to the sequel. People used to yank the disk out of the drive before the computer could write their death to it.
