The Rapier SLC is such a cool car. At one point I actually saw a coyote swapped one on youtube that was being built by Zakari. I don't know about you guys but I'm thinking of having one with a twin turbo Ford 5.2L Aluminator and a Ford GT or GT500 transmission on it. But man this car is a beauty though the Ultima GTR weighs a bit less at least this car looks better.

Yes, I think from all the comments rejecting the term "swap", that it the term is wrong. If you can nominate any combinations of components from any sources, it is not a "LS swap", but an "LS assumed", and yes, as the other commentators have said the kit's mountings and adaptors assume LS. Note "assume" and not certainly "intend". This means it is not a swap, as the builder sources from GM directly, and this would include shelf stock and crate engines! and that you can have a ford coyote (crate or donor) means its not a LS "swap" design! It undervalues this car to put it in a swap description. Just because we are car buff's doesn't mean we should be so loose with language. Well done to classified recon.

Please do some research before posting (like reading the F.A.Q.'s) "Unlike many superficially similar cars, the SL-C was designed from the beginning with the idea that the owner/builder knew best about what drivetrain to use. So the engine bay was designed to be as long and wide as possible, to accommodate an incredibly wide range of engines in the car. Most of the Superlite SL-Cs so far have used the popular GM LS-series of V8 engines, as they are lightweight, easily available, have a large aftermarket presence, and are relatively inexpensive for their power output. But pretty much any modern V8 engine will fit just fine, including the new Ford mod motors (and the new 5.0 liter Coyote, which shares a similar architecture) and the late Chrysler Hemis, many Japanese engines, including the popular Lexus V8s, and even Porsche V8s and flat sixes. There is even an SL-C with a 410 Sprint Car small-block Chevy engine with Kinsler injection and stacks!"

yeah its popular for gm ls because it works really well with it. They sell kits just for the ls, and not other engines. For example with fueling, transaxle adaptor, mounts. that doesn't mean you cant put whatever engine you want though.
