All 3 actors for the Kryptonians are perfect for their roles. Non is the quiet, stupid brute that is a physical power house. Ursa is deceptively beautiful and soft spoken, cold and calculating, until she comes in contact with man and then she is a force of nature. And Zod is the commanding, confident, eloquent leader who’s always planning 3 steps ahead. Love the cast of these films.

So just being able to see x-rays doesn't account for that ability. A Kryptonian would need to be generating x-rays from their eyes, and how that would work hypothetically is anyones guess. It COULD be possible to see around objects, like a box for example, in a similar way that a cloaking device would work by bending light waves around the object allowing us to se behind it. Lately when I kept hearing BBC World Service news presenters pronouncing it the same way I would chuckle to myself and say, "they're as bad as those villains from Krypton in that Superman movie!" Then I watched this clip and realized the actors saying "Hooston" are themselves British. Now I'm thinking maybe they just looked at the script and read it the way they thought it was naturally supposed to be pronounced. Or maybe they read it that way and instead of correcting them the American director said, "Oh that's perfect, it makes them sound like aliens that've never heard of Houston before. Keep doing that!"

My 8 year old self couldn’t understand what Zod was mumbling to cosmonaut Boris, I honestly thought Zod was speaking fluent Russian (I mean, Kryptonians know English, why not other Earth languages too, right?)... NOPE. Zod is merely saying "What a fragile sort of life form this is."

That scene was an Esther Shocker because I’ve watched this movie over 40 years ago because my then teen sister had taken me & a cousin to see this movie because I remember watching General Zod & 2 of his soldiers on the Moon plus I remember watching one astronaut being confronted by Ursa who asked him what kind of a creature are you before destroying his suit then kicking him off the moon & all .

The astronaut should have been able to take off the module without problems, since the guy grabbed the descent stage (bottom part), whereas the ascent stage (top part) is meant to detach from it. But for some reason the whole vessel is trying to lift off lol. 1:46
