Reeve not only brought humanity to Kal El and made the character to be a good friend you can have but after his accident he became an inspiration to us all especially to those who are paralyzed like him and with the physical improvements he made after his accident that in my book is Superman because many others in his situation it takes years or never to make the progress he made. He wrote 2 books which are very good but leave me misty eyed but he also directed a t.v. movie called In The Gloaming and he was in a 1998 remake of Rear Window and he was also on an episode of The Practice and two episodes of Smallville

You can only truly appreciate what I am about to write & what you are about to read because we have seen both movies & know the background. This scene where Superman flies into a prison & flies back out, a place Lex (a criminal) escaped & was brought back. This scene was also done in the movie “Hancock” 2008. Superman was the inspiration for “Hancock”, a sloven, irresponsible, careless, superhero with Superman’s powers, who is so careless he is sent to prison. While in prison in the prison yard playing basketball, Hancock throws the ball outside of the prison fence, he flies out to fetch the ball, he thinks he knows he can get out of prison whenever he wants, but he flies back into the yard to finish out his sentence. That basketball / prison yard scene was a nod to Superman who can fly in & out of prison whenever he wants.

It’s not so much that he was too old, it’s that his face was much leaner and not as full. He didn’t want to bulk up for the role again so he was about 20-25 lbs lighter (muscle wise) than he was in the previous pictures. He wanted to go against the typical action hero cliche of muscle bound hero’s (Rambo), so he didn’t bulk up and instead wanted to have a swimmers body. In turn it effected the way his face looked because it was much leaner

Main Man not too old at all. He just looks a little different because he wasn’t as bulked up as he was in the other movies. He purposely wanted to be a lot leaner in this movie. He wanted to go against the muscle bound hero’s of the time. Reading articles of the time and seeing interviews, he states this, that he wanted a leaner body. Rambo and Schwarzenegger were making popular movies and were the poster boy for action hero’s and whatnot for kids. He wanted to show them something more wholesome so he didn’t gain a lot of weight muscular wise and wanted a swimmers body
