Supersonic ROCKS - Crudest 12g. Projectiles are no joke

In this video we propel rock slugs at 1500 fps and higher to see how effective they are at doing things and stuff. Zach, a viewer, came through and sent us these, which I was eager to test. How will these primitive projectiles react against different types of targets?

Ive taken geology classes in college so this is fun to watch. btw if you wanna know which rock is harder. Just scratch them against each other and which ever leaves a mark is the harder rock. there's a whole bunch of stuff with how the magma cools and what rock solidifies out.

I'm a GIA certified gemologist. It looks to me like the pink rock is a kind of either granite or chalcedony, the dark sparkly one maybe a phylitic or pyritic slate. The others I can't tell from the images. If they're hard enough to be machined at that size they're probably different different striations of granite.

Oldest human projectile is probably the stick because our distant ancestors most likely developed opposable thumbs in the trees. Sticks are a lot more common than rocks in the trees but still rocks, poop, rotting fruit, nuts/nutshells are also candidates for the first human projectile. The oldest projectile known to life is probably some form of squirted liquid like the cephalopods inking or like ants spraying acid.
