Not a fan of any political party. But the govt of Karnataka also deserves credit for giving a 'free hand' to the police & for handling of the case so well. Perhaps if it was any other govt in the State, Darshan would hv been out now & a couple of his stoogs would have taken the complete blame.

This kind of devotion and power is too intoxicating and can destroy the character of anyone not specifically trained to keep their head in the face of such mass blind worship. If people started worshipping you tomorrow, you too would think that you were above the law and act like an ass or become criminal.

It's really ingrained in our culture. But having religious texts guide the masses to worship and follow a moral person was much better, which is why we put a lot of emphasis on wisdom and humility. That is still the case today, it's the exact same image this actor portrayed but the difference is that people haven't learnt to differentiate between reel and reality. We had a sudden surge of tech without really equipping people to actually use it. Now, people have no discretion powers or concept of parasocial relationships when it comes to celebs.
